Hello beautiful people.
It's another new week to share last week's project.
Being a fashion designer entails more than just sewing, especially for one who is a sole proprietor of her business.
Aside my fashion school, I do most of the school runs. I go for fabric sourcing, I draft, cut, join, tack buttons and all. To be honest, it's quite overwhelming and the pressure is high.
I look forward to hiring professionals to make the workload lighter on me.
On today's episode of what I made over the week, I'll love to share with you two piece skirt and blouse.
The first thing I did was to source fhe fabric I needed for the project.

After which, I drafted the pattern for the style.
The skirt fabric I used is called the rib fabric. It didn't need a draft, as it's just a straight cut joined by the sides only which an elastic is attached to the skirt as a fastener.

The neckline of the style is a turtle neck. This neckline is usually very tricky, if wrongly done, it gapes. It needs a right technique to firmly attach so it sits pretty on the neck.

The blouse has a zip as a fastener at the back and on the front, I did a slight drape effect using the skirt fabric so it aligns.

Here's the full view of the fit pairing it with the skirt. The color of this fit is unique and classy and it think it suits the style even more.

My client came in for fittings and it suit her so much. She loved it and I'm glad she was satisfied with the service.

I'm working on another project and I can't wait to share it with y'all.
