𝑨 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑾𝒆𝒂𝒓

Hello needle workers and fashion lovers. I'm here again with a very beautiful traditional design.

This dress is for my not-so-little friend who attended her sister's traditional wedding.

She came in with a particular style in mind.

I got to work immediately as the time designated for the design was very short.

The name of the fabric I worked with is called the "Isi-agu fabric"

Isi agu is derived from the Igbo dialect which means "Tiger's head"

Obviously the print on the fabric depicts a Tiger, little wonder it was named so.

Now let's get down to business.

The dress is a side gathers dress with bustier and a tiny cap sleeves.

I drafted the upper bodice as a princess dart and a round neckline.

Before transferring the pattern onto the fabric, I interfaced it in order to give it structure.

After transferring onto the fabric, I went ahead to add the bust warden to add fullness around the bust.

After which, I gave it a good press, so that the cup will be properly molded.

After molding, the cup came out nicely. I attached the front part to the back, attached the zipper and joined the gathers on the side.

This is the full view and I absolutely love it.

Maltida came in for fittings and she was wowed by the outcome.

This is such a girlie outfit and it's screaming beautiful!
