𝑺𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒂 𝑩𝒆 𝑨 𝑴𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒂

Every little gift comes from a place of love. A smile, a helping hand, bouquets and even a simple dress.

Kindness has been my mantra since I was a child and in any little way I can help ease one's burden, you'll always find me lending a hand.

Fast forward to the reason of this post. A genuine gift I gave Sochi.

That morning, she called to inform me she was pregnant. Sochi got married three years ago, and she has dreamed to be a mumicita.

According to her, she has tried to conceive, all to no avail but this year there was shift in the air. My beautiful friend is now pregnant.

The excitement in her voice still rings a bell in my head. "Amie, I'm finally going to be a mummy"

Sochi lives very far from me, but I wasn't bothered by the distance. I swung into action.

Sochi would be needing lots of bubu, but one for a start to congratulate her for this goodnews.

I had an Adire crepe somewhere in the office which I wanted to use to make Palazzo pants for myself because I love this design, but obviously it would look even better on a Bubu for Sochi, so why not make one for her.

To even think that green was her favorite color, made the gift even more thoughtful.

So I cut the Bubu into four, cut out the neck added a lemon green crepe I had and made magics with my hands.

I honestly will recreate this for myself too, I absolutely love it.

It's simple yet elegant. Everything speaks freedom, class and beauty.

I called her to inform her I had a surprise for her, she was too excited, even though she had no idea what on world I was about to goft her, she knew I always come correct.

I'll be delivering this parcel today and I can't wait to see her reaction. Every little win deserves to be celebrated.

I've learned to celebrate people now they are here, not when they are gone.
