For the subject of this round of the HiveBR Photo Contest I had to dive in my photo archive. It's almost winter here in Western Europe, so there are hardly any wild flowers to be spotted outside.
And we do have flower shops, but the price of flowers been rising over the years. Flowers are quite expensive. And they won't last very long either.
If you want to buy a nice bouquet it costs around $20 and I find that quite a lot for flowers that only last for a week.
I rather invest some more on my indoor plants which are less colourful, but do last endlessly (that is when you take good care of them).
But flowers are a very nice topic to photograph. They come in beautiful colours and shapes and they don't move, so you have all the time to make the perfect shot.
