I've missed a couple of rounds of the HiveBR Photo Contest due to a lack of time and photos that fitted the subject of the past rounds.
But this week the subject is Christmas lights and we have those in abundance at the moment.
So here is my entry for this week.

I was in the city center of The Hague in the Netherlands this week. The Hague is the city where our king lives, so some of the christmas decorations are quite royal. Somewhere in the center I spotted this beautiful golden crown that was decorated with Christmas lights. I immediately thought of this contest and took a picture of it!

One thing I like about Christmas time is that a lot of people hang Christmas decorations in their yards and in their houses. It makes these dark and cold days a bit more bright.
In our house we have already decorated our Christmas tree.
The kids always love to decorate it.

People also decorate the outside of their houses. This was a shot I took a while ago. Almost every house in the street along this canal has decorated the front of their house with Christmas lights. Just imaging how dark this shot would have been without all these lights. I also like the reflection in the water.

Some people really make something of it like the people that live in this house. I don't want to know hwat their electricity bill is in December. But it looks really cool.
