
This is/was one of those days when yo do everything planned but the feeling of run or fight sticks with you.
I wake up early, check the boxes: emails answered, meetings attended, meals prepped. It looks like a triumph of productivity, but beneath the skin, something primal refuses to settle. I stay braced for an impact as if my body is still scanning the horizon for a threat.
Maybe it’s the accumulated weight of small anxieties or, what I like to call it, cuban experiences.
Maybe some days are simply wired that way, so it's time to go through the motions of winding down: a warm shower, a cup of tea, a movie. But even when you remind yourself that you are safe, that nothing is wrong, that you did everything right still, the feeling lingers. And you know that all you can do is wait for it to pass, trusting that tomorrow might finally feel like the rest it appears to be.
