THE VALUE OF KNOWLEDGE || : Hidden gems in pages
On this special day during our practicals I saw this recipe book, it was like the trainers handout in it contains literally everything one needs to know about my field, there the trainer had thrown in all her life'swork, while I flip through the pages I was in awe at the wealth of experience written in the book, all sort of reipes ranging from all kinds of cake recipes, pastries, national and intercontinental dishes and lots more, I was really amazed and thought of ways to purchase it
I flip through the the pages like five more times, I knew the value in that book and I thought to my self even if this book is to be sold for 10k it's worth it and I will pay for it again and again.
in the first episode of this post HERE, I made mentioned of the fact that there are so much value in knowledge, most of these knowledge is hidden in books, in the pages of these books contains deep convinced thoughts of the authors, years of experience, foresight and insight, valuable words of advice that can turn an ordinary mediocre to a top notch excellent personality.
while the world and every one in it is busy from dusk to dawn chasing money, trying so hard to figure out how to make it in life seeking financial freedom by all means. that which we constantly chase after someone who has had same experienced had documented it somewhere in a book and also written down the best possible solution of getting fast result without spending years going from pillar to post, however since most people are ignorant of these facts they boycott grabing a book to read and find out these facts instead spend all their lives working hard to find it.
in the first part of the post I made mention of the fact that it is very difficult for people to take up a book and read it from cover to cover meanwhile in there lies the solution to what we seek...
while I stare at the recipe book in my hand I went up to our instructor and pleaded with him to gift the book to me tho I'll pay something and in seconds thought he okayed it I was so happy, I felt someone just gifted me a goldmine indeed it was a goldmine, cause the things contained in the book was some years of experience summed up in a book and so I don't have to struggle just follow the principles and get results without sweats.
the reading culture in our country and continent is very poor, no one values reading any more except during school days that's basically to read and pass exams, it looks like it's time wasting, we believe in the wrong concept all ourlives, work hard very hard and you will definitely make it big, meanwhile there is an easy route that says just work smart and achieve excelent results in one year compared to someone's 10 years of hardwork, its all a matter of choice.....
