THE VALUE OF KNOWLEDGE!....
so I made up my mind to be reading atleast one book every month this year and trust me it's really amazing to find so much Information that is in the pages of books, the more you read the more knowledgeable you re, it literally makes you vast in all areas,
over time I discovered that there are two things that is very hard for the average human to do first is that ability to pick up a book and read it cover to cover, secondly the ability to write, especially creative writing, this is two require some level of discipline and intentional effort, because writing things requires some level of knowledge about whatever it is, you're only knowledgeable as much as you have access to information, and most of these information are hidden in books.
no one can rise above the plane of the level of thier knowledge, you can only operate as far as you know, that's why when you see people behave in a certain way you can tell how exposed to knowledge the person is, I rate people based on their IQ level and I relate with them base on that too.
there's a level you get to in life and viewing things from that plane makes you see how ignorant people are and how comfortable they In it, the reason being that they don't know any better, so the highest they know is where their life is at the moment, however it takes deep insight to see the value of going for more knowledge, expanding your scope, paying for courses, going for workshops, seminars just to level up....
this is the singular reason why companies at every interval will send their Staffs for upgrades, pay heavily for some seminar just so at the end they will in turn add that value to the company's product or services, this is same for individuals alike whether personally or as an organization.
a wise man once said it is foolishness to keep doing same thing and expect a different result, if route A is not producing the required result, then try out something different, try B or C make sure in whatever case scenario you're up to date, I think it is creativity to do and think of something new in a way it has never been done before...
if it is true that you can only go as far as you know, then it means is if you want to go further you should go for more knowledge, because that will in turn increase your value, relevance and your demand in your field, the truth is most persons don't know and so they are stuck when stucked they become restless and confused making them become desperate and that will lead them to doing anything whatever it takes at that point there is no patience or perseverance
I loved reading books because personally I know that I can get access to one of the brightest highly valued minds in the world through the things they writes down, this is deep, because at the point of writing they don't shout or jump around rather they stay at some quiet place bring out deep things from the inner part of them, all the wealth of knowledge, experience, exposures personal insight into that piece of book and is packaged and sold, so imagine reading a book on business written by Donald Trump, and in that book he analyze all his successes, failures and lessons learnt all his life, that is huge if you grab it, because on a norms you can't have access to Him physically but through his books you did not just get access to him but into his inner mind gathering all his knowledge in that field and learning from his experiences, ...
now how can you quantify that level of value.
