Hive Power Up Day - December 1st 2024: Pushing Beyond Goal
Hi all, it is the 2nd of December 2024, one day after 1st December 2024. Happy belated Hive Power Up Day! Don't worry I did not miss the timeline as I've manage to do my power up before 1st Dec is over. If you are still new on Hive and not familiar with what is happening every 1st day of the month, its Hive Power Up Day! The year is ending, how are you on the goals you've set for yourself to achieve since the year started? If you have not meet your goal, there is still time. If you've met your goal, time to give yourself a pat on your shoulder for the good job done. Let's continue to show our support for the blockchain we all love and a fair bit of time on and take part in Hive Power Up Day!
I have participated in Hive Power Up Day since October 2022, the journey since then had been nothing less than awesome. I still remembered how I started with 315HP back then when I first participated in this Power Up initiative. From that month on, on every month running, I would try my best to take part and show my support to the blockchain. Hive is an amazing community where everyone helps everyone and I and many others are testimonials of receiving help and support from various individuals from the community. And I love this community spirit filled community where everyone is helping one another.
Hive Power Up Day, What is it?
Hive Power Up Day occurs on the first day of each month where people come together to stake their Hive to become Hive Power. Through this, our account gets powered up.
Power Up?
By powering up our account, what does it bring?
- Increase our influence in the block chain, in terms of voting power on content, witnesses and proposals
- With a much higher Hive Power, we get more curation rewards and improve our earnings.
- Passive earning of 3% per annum

Hive Power Up November Month 2024
In the month of November, I continued to work on the momentum I gained after coming back from my USA trip.
My growth in HP in the month of November manage to gathered me 545 HP which I am really glad to have all your support to allow me to grow to this amount, my sincere thanks to everyone!
Momentum that is build is not difficult to stop like how inertia works.
So let's see the status of the Hive Power Up Month:

Concluding
I am really thankful for being able to meet my goal that I've set earlier in the year when it started. The goal was to achieve 9k HP by end of the year with an additional stretch to be able to complete by end November. I've managed to achieve this in early November and now I have set for myself to try and close my HP into 10k by 31st Dec. I know I am still a little distance away from that, but I know that if I continue working on it, I think there is definitely a chance for me to meet this new goal.
I am working in the background to enable some form of passive earning to fund the next Hive Power Day, it might not be able to fund sufficiently right now for even 1 Hive per month, but with consistency in building of what I am doing, I am certain one day it will be able to fund the base requirement for the power up day! Right now while everything is still rather low in terms of passive, I am strengthening each source to ensure I have enough for power up for each month. And I also seek your every support to walk with me to meet this further stretched goal. Many of you have given me so much support to allow me to reach where I am today.
I'll see you here next month as we celebrate the arrival of year 2025. Once again, Happy HPUD!
