When I was picking the thumbnail photo for this post, I found this great one from this year's vacation... However, at first sight, it seemed completely irrelevant to the topic of this post, but on second thought, I think I will succeed in connecting it and making it relevant... Give me 2-3 minutes of your time... 🙂
Firstly, let's discuss the inspiration behind this post... I read a great reflection post by @relf87, where he was writing/replying on the topic of Weekend Engagement, "If you were dead, what would you regret not doing in your life? Explain." I found it very interesting as he touched so many topics in the post, which have a lot deeper meaning, not just for himself, but to the readers too...
One of the things that I mention a lot in my posts is BALANCE, or as he said, equilibrium between different things in life... He was talking about the equilibrium between job and travelling, but you can easily say the same for work and free time... I also recognized myself in his words about working hard, multiple hours to reach goals, to have money to pay for his trips... I did the same when I was running a company, working 12-16 hours per day, chasing money to finance my family, to repair the old house, to offer a better future to my child...
All that is great, and relatively easy when you are young... You can do it... Except for a 24-hour day, there are no limits... Everything is possible... if you push hard... harder... Unfortunately, like in the discussion with @macchiata on her post, we began to realize the importance of TIME when the clock started ticking in reverse... When we began to run out of time...
Oh, wait... You can accomplish goals by working SMARTER and not HARDER? I can run that hamster wheel from the outside, connecting it to an external source of energy? It's not an easy task to do, that's for sure... And I have to mention one more post, by @gadrian, where he was writing about the tool that he created, but also mentioned FOMO and FUD... How hard is it to ignore them and not be lured into that hamster wheel... It is another one, very dangerous too...
Recently, I realized that nobody was ever teaching me about investing during my childhood, in school, at home, on the street, among friends... I would always hear the same words over and over again: "Work hard... It will pay off eventually!" It did help, but it would be completely different if someone showed me that there is another way... And that I could CHOOSE the way... Luckily, it's not too late to work smarter... You did your first step... You dived into crypto... Now, it's time to scratch under the surface and find your path...
Oh, the cat story... I almost forgot... That cat isn't my cat... It lives in the backyard of my old house, where my parents have a garden... They go there every day and feed the cat, but the cat is there 4-5 days per week... The rest of the days, it is with its owner, being cuddled and fed there too... I don't know about you, but I would say the cat found a great balance in her life! 🙂
Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...
This week, we have mined 82 BEE tokens in total, 5 fewer than last week...
This week, we got another delegator! Welcome to the pool, @rsgraveyard2! We got new delegations from old members, too! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!
This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!
What about the bonus tokens?
Last week, I was distributing tokens from the Rising Star as a bonus to delegators, and this week it's the turn of another great game on the Hive blockchain! If you are a Splinterlands player, you will be happy with today's bonus as you can spend these tokens in the game, stake them, or put them in the liquidity pools... If you aren't a player, you can always sell them on the markets... No hard feelings... ;)
There will be distributed 230 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
230 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 6.769%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 8.156%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...
Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...
If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!
.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!
You can find more about this pool in the initial post here https://ecency.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other.
Thank you for your time.

Balance, clocks ticking time away, it all sounds very familiar for sure!!!
And especially, dishing I knew about investments and the money mindset sooner! My parents literally both worked themselves to death, earning enough to almost make ends meet, and almost live from paycheck to paycheck… they didn’t know, how could they teach me. They thought money was evil and dirty…
If only I had learned it all sooner!!!
Then I’d have more balance now! 😂

Yeah... Same here... I'm not surprised that I was always in a shitty mood and demotivated to finish school and start working... lol... When my parent, my role models, were struggling day by day...
Hahahaha... Well played! 😂
Exactly that! Why struggle through school and all that just to continuing the struggle after that. “Is that all there is” was a question that quite often came to my mind in those days…
Yeah, balancing the different activities in your life is probably the most important thing. Because, really, what is FREE time? Lying on the beach and counting clouds? Spending time with your children? Your wife? Pursuing your hobby? In my free time, when I've taken care of everything in my offline world, I hang out on Hive := 🤔
I mean, it's different for everyone.
Yes, thank you for the award. Now I've started collecting another workerbee from my shit HE tokens. Only God knows how long it will take me to get one :)
It is different for everyone! And everyone has a different balancing problem... Between one and another thing... Between good and bad... :)
Hahahaaha.. It depends on the shit HE tokens... Maybe you got some gems among those shits? 😂
good to see that the bees are still working while i was i the hospital

Bees are always working! The power of passive income!
I like that WAS! It means you are finally out of the hospital!
Wish you a fast recovery! 💪
Thank you I got home this morning
I really dig this take on getting more free time by using smarter strategies instead of just grinding away at work ;)
There is a way... It wasn't in front of our eyes before... If others can do it, we can do it too! 🙂
Woot SPS thank you very much!
You are welcome! 🍺

I think it's good to work smart. It's better to not burn yourself out even if you can when you are young.
Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/SPS tokens.
Amazing story of the cat, I like its lifestyle lol, cats are great at nothing taking things too seriously :)
I think finding balance of sorts is a never ending dilemma for us humans across the different aspects of our life. Thank God, now we have avenues to practice smart work and not kill ourselves with just hard work. Still, it'll probably take some phases of hard work to establish a solid foundation in one domain before working on creating a balance across different domains.
Investing basics from an early age would have been useful, even though I, like many others interested in the subject, self-educated in time and that is good too, but an earlier consistent understanding of this world could have prevented some mistakes and taking advantage of other opportunities earlier in life.
Anyway, the cat definitely found her balance. Smart cat.
Imagine having invested in basics early in your 20s... When you are in the full form, without limits, without preconceptions... With your qualities, you would be a millionaire before you're 30! 😃
I was actually in the local stock market for a couple of years when the financial crisis came more like in 2010-2011 around here. Not taking profits... then either, and lost quite a bit, because I had to sell around 2014 still at a big loss, to buy a house when a good opportunity arose (family helped with that). And my family wasn't happy at all with the losses (even if they were my money), they are very risk averse, in general, so their strong opinions and digesting my losses kept me away from investing for several years. Even now, I hesitate to "go big" into something. So, it probably still haunts me that early loss.
