Revenue Sharing is Future .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 257

Before I wrote yesterday's post on GPU mining/computing, I had multiple ideas around the topic, trying to connect dots on different levels... But, the problem is that I didn't write those small titbits from my head directly to the paper/file, and while writing, new ideas came out, and I forgot so many important things to share... Luckily, they aren't too time-sensitive, and I can share them in the next post, like this, for example...

The comment section from the last post was also amazing, and people brought up some interesting thoughts on all this... With AI imminent, there will be huge changes in our lives, but also in jobs... Something similar happened when the first computers came into the mainstream... I remember that all my friends' moms were accountants in some company in the 80s and 90s, and today, 1 person with 1 powerful computer can do all the accounting!

As with all disruptive technologies, some people try to embrace them, and there is a huge pushback from other groups... When the wealthiest get into the game, it's usually the end for the "small guys"... The money flow goes into one pocket, and big monopolies have been created... And it happens in many different spheres and aspects...

Because of all this, it's hard to believe in today's title of this post, Revenue Sharing is Future, as big boys don't like to share... But, if we build a decentralized infrastructure, we still have a chance... I mean, if the AI destroys many jobs (and it will), we need new jobs... That also happened with embracing new technologies... (I don't remember that any of my friends' moms were a TikTok influencer 😃)...

Here comes the "revenue share" model in place... It's not a "new thing" at all, and it existed before... Just one example is YouTube, with AdSense, where they share income with content creators (maybe it could be a better %, but it is sharing), or some mobile games where you can earn some money by watching ads, participating in surveys, etc.). All this was one of the starting points when @achim03 and I were developing the idea around @Liotes! Nobody was doing the revenue share model in those days, with their tokens on Hive-Engine... Most projects would either sell their tokens, promising income from the "network effect", or sell miners, which would mine inflationary tokens that were going down toward zero...

I was talking/writing about the idea of using the same NFT across different games from the same (or different) creators, and the main objective why that isn't becoming mainstream was... "Why would any company SHARE their earnings with players?" Well, partly, that's true as the company has no why to do it, especially if they have built a huge brand...

On the other side, I can see some mid-game company developers exploring the "revenue share" waters, trying to find the "sweet spot" where they can satisfy players, but still have income for future development and growth... As usual, we need just one example that it is possible to do it (one BIG example), when some game would get 2-5x more players, which will showcase that with bigger numbers and a revenue share model, you can make even more than keeping all gains for yourself!

What do you think about the revenue sharing? Some of our games are maybe good examples of revenue sharing, like Rising Star, or Splinterlands... I have mentioned @liotes before, as most of the income stays in the project, growing accounts, but also, through burning LEN tokens into the revenue share model...

This week, we have mined 106 BEE tokens in total, almost exactly as the week before!

This week, we didn't get new delegators! But we got some new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!

This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

Last week, it was the LEN token for distribution. This week, I will distribute some CTPSB tokens to pool delegators... It's another token that was recently "acquired" by @liotes, and it is also "revenue share" based... It grows through curation and content creation, utilizing a burning mechanism and backed by HivePower, with revenue sharing through token value.

There will be distributed 150 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

2.9 CTPSB tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 13.546%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 16.341%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...
