I suppose that's the "curse" of HIVE... People tend to connect interactions with monetary value... Having physical contact on meetups helps with that as it does bring the friendship to another level...

Well yeah. I got a lot of discord messages and most times it's folks who wants to get upvotes on their posts. No real connection, nothing else except how to make it big. No small talks no fundamental connection. So it's hard to call folks like these "friends"
I got one text inviting me to a meetup and when I told them I couldn't attend because of my health condition, they simply stopped talking to me and haven't talked with me because of that decline.
