To be honest, not really... I was using some of the first bots back in the days, PIZZA and WINE mostly, but when everyone began to run them, it became very oversaturated and spammy... So, I stopped using them...
I do understand the message that they transmit, despite most of them going to zero, but seeing comments only calling these bots inside the body looks ugly...
But, on the other side, maybe if some of them would keep the value and be used properly (in addition to the real comment, not just the call), maybe it could work out... Challenge? 😃
Also, I didn't follow any of these bots (and tokens) recently, so can't judge which one is good or bad... Is there any that is doing fairly well? That you could say that it is different?
Totally agree on the spamminess of those bots! Which is why I very soon converted from the bots posting a comment on each call, to posting a daily summary, waaaaay less clutter like this.=
Also agree on the comments with nothing but botcalls. I have some followers that do that on each post, and I reply to them in the same manner, but there is very little “social” about that of course :-D
The idea behind the bots is to be able to use them for specific uses, for instance @thestrider is intended to reward physical activity, mostly running/walking.
The !HOPE bot is meant in a similar way as the HUG and LUV bots, to give a sign of hope, or reward signs of hope.
But the master of all puppets/bots, is the mmbbot !MMB which is not yet finished though. The idea is Maximum Mutual Benefit, and make the token behind it an income token, so hopefully with a lot of value to its holders, and this in many ways: holding the tokens will earn you upvotes, delegation rewards, staking rewards, …
And all the others would sit under the MMB umbrella, and they would complement the earning potential of the MMB token (and have their own earnings as well).
