Brain Melt .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 236
I like summer... I like spring and autumn too... Winter, not that much... not a big fan of cold... but... I wouldn't mind a bit of winter at this moment... 😂 The last 4-5 days have been hell in this part of Spain where I live... Temperatures are over 40 Degrees Celsius, very high humidity, and we have a "red alert" for high temperatures going on for a few days (and will go for a few more)...

The air conditioner can help, but it has its downsides... A struggle to keep consensus at home about the indoor temperature + health issues like headaches and sore throat can arise easily... The solution? Well, we did go to the beach a few mornings, but you can't be there for a whole day, especially when the sun is heating like an oven... At home, trying to concentrate and focus on doing some work is a true challenge! It's literally like my brain is melting and has 0 interest in activating gray cells... 😃
Until now, the only part of a day which "could work out" was evening (recently, evenings got hotter too)... So, we used it to go for a walk and eventually, go for a drink in the bar, or a cake in the pastry shop (or both) 😂 I'm not a "regular" coffee drinker, but I occasionally do drink one (twice per month, or so... 🤣). A few days ago, when I drank this one from the photo, I got a small sugar bag with a motivational message on it, which said:
Que tus sueños sean más grandes que tus miedos
translated to English, it would be
May your dreams be bigger than your fears.
It looks like a cringe message, but it is very true... I know that I missed dozens (if not hundreds) of opportunities because I had different fears... Mostly, it's fear of failure, but it can be fear of wasted money, fear of being disappointed, or losing everything... In a way, if you want to succeed, you will encounter fear at some moment... It will challenge you, your belief, your perseverance, your dedication, your focus, etc. If your dream outweighs your fears, you will be motivated to continue, and your chances of success will be higher... If not, you will quit, and quitting means 0 chance of winning!
Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week... The WORKERBEE token price went down a bit, especially the BUY price on the markets, which means a bit better APR for those who grabbed cheap WBs!
This week, we have mined 84 BEE tokens in total, 2 more than the week before...
This week, we didn't get new delegators! But we got new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!
This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!
What about the bonus tokens?
As the LEO token was going wild recently, some people decided to cash out some profits, while many others decided to "chase the rabbit" and buy tokens on its way up... I suppose that was one of the reasons why other HiveEngine tokens performed worse than usual... Today's bonus is the LEN token, which is run under the @liotes project, where I am the co-owner... We do have buyback/burn mechanisms implemented in our tokenomics, which is one of the reasons why the token itself didn't suffer that much in the last bear market like many others... But, truth to be told, because of the relatively small token supply, when some big token holder decides to sell their tokens, it shows on the price... Overall, when that passes, the token recovers very fast...
There will be distributed 55 LEN tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
55 LEN tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 8.542%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 10.252%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Who would have thought that we in Greece would avoid that heat wave on vacation?
During the entire past week, the temperature in the hottest part of the day did not exceed 35°C, and at night it fell below 24°C.
Apart from the first two nights, there was no need to turn on the air conditioner in the hotel room.
Lucky you! It was impossible to "survive" at the top floor of the building without the A/C the last 4-5 days... Today it's a bit better, and hopefully, we will have temperatures closer to 30 and not 40!
In such near extreme temperatures, I'll always try adjusting to doing most of the important work around early mornings and late evenings. I know it's not always practical but concentrating during the day, especially around noon is just extremely hard and the rather sad thing is I can't do anything else for that matter too!
I think over time, we learn to do what we want/need to do despite the fear looming large in our heads. Better try and fail, than not try at all :)
That's a good approach which I try to follow too... It's doable when there are no people around me interrupting the schedule... 😃
That's true! The thing is that easier said than done... 😃 But, with time, we could overcome our fears...
Yes lol, that's the variable I always try to control but not always possible. Sometimes necessary interruptions do happen!
Definitely! It's a process of push and pull between fear and curiosity :)
Fear is when risk takes over our imagination to a certain point. Just gotta build the skill and wisdom to regulate that so we don't miss opportunities.
Checking in and I am STILL in the undelegating of BEE tokens I will convert and delegate like you showed me in a past reply. I have that tab open on my browser with the timer of 1 day and 3 hours.
Stay cool a little while longer and we will be into fall which is full of moderate temps and all new adventure!
When I checked temperatures for the next week or so, it looks like we will go under 30 in September... maybe... fingers crossed... soon... Maybe it will coincide with the next crypto pump... 😃

I think its all about the opportunity cost. There is going to be alot of uncertainty, and sometimes you just got to leap forward despite the fear.

Beach is a good relief from the hot weather and if stayed home. It was better to turn on the aircon the whole day to keep the room temperature bearable.
I don't like aircon, but the last 4-5 days were impossible to stay/work at home...

STOPI'm sorry to hear Spain has been hit by another heatwave, plus I heard of fires too, which make things worse. I know how difficult it is to go through them, especially, when they come one after another with almost no breaks in-between. We... have been spared recently. We currently have a fall-like weather, which is very early and I expect more heat to return before the real fall comes. But I don't expect any more 40 degrees this year. We are probably over that.
I don't know which one is worse, floods or fires... And it is terrible recently with fires... We did have one that was close to our city in early July, but luckily, after that, we were good... Unfortunately, some other parts of Spain got hit by fires very hard... ☹️
We need at least a few days of rain... But, I didn't see anyone announcing it.. :(
