Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope this helps authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, as well in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

The wild beauty of Arusha National Park by @friendlymoose

image.png

You took some great photos on your summer vacation in Tanzania! I suppose it's not that easy to take them as animals are often afraid from people... Except for those baboons... 😂 I suppose you had to go around them in a car, as they wouldn't move... 😂
Like the photo with 4 different animals in one shot! It indeed shows the essence of wildlife and the importance of water... It is dangerous to mix with other animals, but you gotta drink water to survive!

Casuarina equisetifolia — A Tree I Have Known Since Childhood [EN/ES] by @vladimirmf

image.png

That tree looks beautiful! Especially that specific one; as I can see, it's holding on for dear life at the edge of a cliff. If I see it well... Speaking of the background, I thought it was a big lake because the water is so calm, but when I checked your Google Maps link, I realized it's the sea!
It's interesting how we have these memories of a specific tree from our childhood... For example, I remember the best 3 favorite trees that grew on my street: horse chestnut, birch, and linden... There were dozens of them all around, and today, when I go back to the same street, there are barely 2-3... 😞

Postcards from the Hotel #19 — The Limits of an All-Inclusive Wristband | Postales desde el hotel #19 — Los límites de una pulsera de todo incluido [EN/ES] by @marysol777

image.png

That's an interesting story and experience you had... No hotel service could help the man to get back the feeling he had, but you did something more important than a special cocktail, or exclusive meal... You have your time and your personal attention... Despite his words, I bet he felt better after telling you the story of his life... and on the other hand, it changed you too, as you wouldn't remember this story if not!

Richard Avedon: In the American West [Eng-Esp] by @enraizar

image.png

When I began looking at the exhibition and the images it presented, I had the same thought: there’s a lack of context; they’re all against white backgrounds. In several of his photographs, I seem to see models striking poses, as if he wanted ordinary people, not models, with their jobs and their lives to pose in order to show precisely that. If I analyse it a little further, I realise that for the artist, the background and context aren’t important, perhaps because the focus of the photograph is on the people themselves, as if, through those gazes and poses, one could enter each of their souls and look into them. They are people who are suffering, weary, with faces full of sorrow; they all look more or less the same, one even has her arms crossed as if to bar the way, creating a sense of distance.
Ultimately, it provokes a sense of rejection at first, but if we look at where the intention lies, we can discover so much more.

The slow shift into autumn by @namiks

image.png

You’ve captured autumn in black and white in such a special way, and I love seeing those empty streets, as if they were there just for you to walk along, all on your own.
Here, too, it feels as though summer is still lingering, albeit faintly, with cooler nights, but unlike there, there are people on the streets at all times, even at night. I love the scenes you’ve captured, and it’s lovely to see the energy returning.

Spn/Eng/Recordando ando el campamento de auxiliar de enfermería./I'm reminiscing about the nursing assistant camp. by @liu205

There are moments that set a precedent in the professions we choose, and I can see that today was one of those for you. You clearly possess the charisma for this kind of work—not everyone has the talent to carry it out so successfully and with the genuine warmth that you bring to it. I’m glad you shared these memories with the community; you are always welcome to share any anecdotes you’d like for Throwback Thursday...
