Ourpick Reading Suggestions for October 16th

OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to keep creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive overall.

Created in Canva.com

Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope this helps authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, as well in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

ADHD, Shame, and the Audacity to Want More by @artemisnorth.com

People like you and posts like this are the main reason why I like HIVE over any other social media network! It's not that I like to read when other people struggle, but it's about sharing good and bad, helping others by doing that, realizing we are not alone, and finally, growing and overcoming obstacles together!
I don't know if I have ADHD or not, but I did recognize a lot of what you shared in myself... Struggling with the past, trying to live in the present, creating a better future...

The music our parents listened to by @duskobgd

What a marvellous post! You’ve done a huge amount of research, especially as it can sometimes be really hard to find videos. I remember you telling me you’d find it hard to choose from so many videos, and I said there might well be loads, and what lovely music, even if I don’t understand the language. Above all, the most beautiful part is the anecdotes; you shared these tastes with your father, and especially that deeply moving video of that woman; it’s true, you can really feel the music and it transcends language. I think it’s just as my friend says: you feel music with your heart.

Keep On Stacking Those HIVE - 250K HP Next Target by @cryptoandcoffee

Congrats on reaching 240K HivePower! I have no doubt you'll hit the quarter-million by Christmas!
Btw, I completely agree with everything you said:
The 6-month rule, after which there is no way back; you just get hooked on this place...
The compounding effect that makes your account grow faster and faster, giving you more power to push others up too!
The amount of great people you meet on the platform... I'm so happy I met so many of them at IRL events too! That's beyond any other social media!
I remember doing those #MyHiveGoals posts at least once (or twice) per month before, but recently, I suck at it... But I know it helped me stay focused, and it helped others and encouraged and motivated them to grow too!

The Power of Music Part 3 by @mandragora88

I’m not quite sure why, but it reminds me of classical music and those ancient organs whose architecture seemed designed to reach the very heights of heaven, both physically and through their notes and sound. I find it fascinating; I like this piece even more than the others. But I also seem to make out other instruments, interwoven amongst them.

Serie: La máscara de Halloween (The Halloween Mask) [ES EN] by @rinconpoetico7

She definitely recognised it because, although everyone thought she’d just fainted, she’d actually been through what seemed like a dream… but it wasn’t, and now the shadow wants her. Entities from other planes often manifest as shadows; they look like demons. I can’t wait to find out how the story unfolds for this month’s initiative. Thank you so much, as always, for taking part.

Lemon Cake with Coconut Cream | Recipe [Eng-Esp] by @chacald.dcymt

That looks so great, and I bet it's tasty!!! 😋 Especially seeing how much time and effort you put into it! If I tried preparing that cake, who knows what would come out of it... hahahahaha
You are an expert in this! Congratulations! Great cake for a great occasion!
