OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to keep creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive overall.

Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope this helps authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, as well in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

The truth is, the place strikes me as increasingly strange, like a different world where no one actually lives. There are a host of extravagant buildings which I imagine must have cost a fortune to build; they’re ostentatious yet stand all alone. Hardly anyone looks at them. I think even I could feel the heat; the sun reflects off the white surfaces and must be intensified. I’ll say it again: it looks like something out of a science fiction film. Even that giant book that everyone’s been made to know about. Truly impressive.

This series of photographs of the streets of your village is the very sequence of that village’s life, as if with every step you take you were capturing the passage of time, as if every metre travelled were a year. I understand perfectly what you’re saying: to people, it’s as if you were condoning the village’s decline, but in reality I think what you’re doing is capturing moments and seeing art in that decline. It’s another perspective that perhaps many won’t see, but that decline isn’t down to you, nor is it your fault, so all you’re doing is capturing history, reality and the truth.

I like it when I learn something new... :) I didn't know about the English word "conker", but I definitely know what a horse chestnut is... When I was a child, we would collect them in big sacks and sell them to the forest guards, as they would feed wild animals with them... I think... As you said, it's toxic; I'm a bit in doubt... 😂
Anyway, collecting them was a lot of fun, and your post reminds me of it!

What a brilliant idea! I’ve never had a birthday cake like this—haha, I hadn't even imagined it, since I’ve only really started liking sushi in the last couple of years 🤣 The economic factor in our country is definitely a major consideration, even when it comes to celebrating birthdays. Here in Caracas, many of us had birthdays after payday, so we’d wait for that date to celebrate and sing to each other—haha...

Wow, you were lucky enough to go to the beach during the lockdown; it feels like the whole place was yours alone, since I don't see anyone else in the photos. I'm glad you took at least a few pictures, because today—almost six years later—you have a lovely post to share with our community. There are many precious memories from the lockdown; overall, not everything was bad.

Okay, that golden LEGO with only 5 made kind of makes sense to cost that much money, but for those "regular" plastic ones, everything over $5 is too much for me... hahahaha 😂 My son didn't have many LEGOs while he was a child, but maybe I should check out old boxes and see what he has... 😂
Congrats on selling that piece for over $200... That's nice pocket money, and not just pocket...

A great collection of posts, quite vivid and depicted from real life. These are proving that human mark and connections will always thrive in a world where AI seems to take over. Keep it up!
