As soon as I saw the church, I thought it was marvellous, and I was struck by how slender it is, rather elongated rather than wide, as you quite rightly pointed out, as if it were designed to fit in with the local streets. The most impressive features are the decorations and its age, that’s what amazes me most, and the altar with those lions. It really is a historical gem, and we’re so lucky that you found it open so you could bring us these beautiful photographs. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as old as this church, and I love it.

Of course it ties in with the theme of the initiative; in fact, it’s one of the most original posts I’ve seen. Remember, I always say that creativity is the best thing, and this is quite different from everything that’s come before. This is a post paying tribute to the dead and relates to Halloween in a different way, in other words, it offers a different perspective. I like that you’ve shared how it’s celebrated over in Mexico, and especially the detail about the creation of that altar, it’s very picturesque, by the way.
What caught my attention was the theme of butterflies, mirrors and candles, which, for some reason, mustn’t be an odd number, and, within all that, the theme of mirrors, which is written about so much in this community, as a connection between the two worlds. I found that really interesting, and also the colour orange, which is so prominent, the colour of communication and energy. To be honest, it’s a spectacular contribution.

I love seeing the variety and quantity of work the children have produced on the theme of textures, and how they are able to develop their creativity in this area, choose their own materials and capture that texture using the media of their choice. It’s true, what you’ve taught them is everywhere, in every aspect of life; that art is visible, those textures, and it’s good for them to learn about it. What lovely news that a pupil has returned, I can understand your joy.

The story is absolutely fascinating and full of revenge, for all those women who’ve been deceived and betrayed by men, it seems there’s one of them who dispenses justice at night. It’s the perfect story for Halloween, because she can go out and about without any trouble or needing a fancy dress costume. Presenting it as a video is very original, and the narration combined with your voice is perfect for creating the necessary atmosphere of terror.
