Mis amigos de papel, una vida entre libros // My paper friends, a life among books by @palomap3

image.png

Wow, dear Paloma, your collection is truly impressive—not to mention that everything is so well-cared-for, and I see a lot of material that I’m familiar with myself, or that I’d love to start reading. Right now, I’m working through The Daily Stoic and have The Stoic Journal lined up next; they are the only things I’m currently reading in print, as I’ve switched over to digital novels ever since I got my tablet. I noticed at the beginning of your post that you own—and love—The Little Prince; it’s a story I read during my childhood, my adolescence, and my young adulthood, and now that I’m married, I’ve even read it aloud to my wife—haha! I think it will always be my absolute favorite. Thank you for sharing these gems. I’m always eager to participate here in Collectors, but my entire life is currently in another city...

Lancia: 120 Years of Italian Genius – Visit in Autoworld Brussels by @lesiopm

image.png

What an amazing exhibition, which allows you to travel through time, following the car industry development through the Lancia eyes! I was always a big fan of Italian brands like Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and Maserati... Thanks to Pinin Farina, who gave them such beautiful lines, and thanks to Ferrari powering up some of the models...
I enjoyed your story and photos a lot, and regarding Lancia, it will always remind me of my student days, when I was playing the Collin McRae Rally game, with that Lancia Integrale model! It was the fastest car, which was the biggest challenge to keep on track... šŸ˜€
Also, that model, which Juan Manuel Fangio drove, was one of the reasons why I began to follow Formula 1 races almost 40 years ago!

CATS - (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES) by @jlinaresp

image.png

I think you get the idea, at least a little bit, of just how much I’ve enjoyed this post; just hearing the word ā€œcatsā€ was enough to make me rush over to take a look. They’re all cuter than the next, though I have a favorite: the kitten with the blue eye, or eyes. These cats are known as ā€œsarco,ā€ and it can happen that the ear on the side of the blue eye doesn’t hear well and is deaf. Nature is very strange sometimes.
I also hope that all the cats you don’t see regularly are doing well, and if not, that they aren’t suffering. They all have a special look, very tender, but they also recognize you, so the closeness in the photos is beautiful; their eyes say it all.

The Street Never Stops - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY - from SĆ£o Paulo - Brasil II ENG - PT_BR II ( 9 Shots ) by @grafvisionsp

image.png

You described your photos very well... It is like freezing a moment, and many times, you did it to freeze one specific moment, but when you look back at a photo, there is another "side story" behind... Something in the background, which tells another story, tried to stay hidden, but you caught it with your camera! People who are rushing through the streets, some worried, others excited, some happy, others sad... All those emotions make photos more valuable! It's not an easy task to "freeze an emotion"... But, you did it with some of these photos...

Don't let our future fade away. by @steemflow

image.png

I share that same sentiment regarding observing flowers in their natural state—something I overlooked for many years but now deeply appreciate in my daily life. It truly fills me with peace and makes me cherish every little detail. Here in Venezuela, too, we have witnessed drastic changes in the climate, and we know, of course, that this past winter in the North was particularly intense. Things are definitely shifting in many respects, and we also know that much of this is due to human activity. It seems that those days of 2020—when animals reclaimed the streets because we were all confined to our homes—have been left behind. In any case, all we can do is make our own small daily contribution and enjoy walks like this one, alongside good friends who appreciate the natural world just as much as we do...

MÔs allÔ de la vida: El misterio de la muerte y la resurrección. Respondiendo preguntas en @zonadeescalofrio (esp-eng) by @issymarie2

image.png

I love your first contribution to the initiative, and I was actually looking forward to it, whether they’re answers to the questions I posed or stories, it’s always fascinating. You know we share certain… powers. Your contribution is more than complete with those two movie references, and I recommend the movie Origin, the one about dreams, it’s really interesting to see the background behind it.
As for the answers, I agree with you on many points. The reality is that the soul forgets many things because that’s how it has to be; otherwise, the trauma would be overwhelming. Before coming here, the soul makes a contract, about what to learn, what kind of family it wants, what experiences, and everything else. But it forgets the past so that it doesn’t interfere with that learning. That’s why it’s best to leave the past where it belongs. And we’ll keep learning until we transcend and return to the source.
As for your sister… and your brother, I have no doubt whatsoever, that soul was meant to come, and since it returned to your family, it did. Children are the wisest, but over time they forget things. Why? It’s mainly a social issue. For adults, many things don’t exist, but children do see them.
