OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to continue creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive in general.

Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope it will help authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, but also in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

What a fantastic post you wrote! A great reflection on your life, how it was, and how you are building it in your retirement! As I'm not too far away from your age, I'm slowly thinking about doing something similar... Working from home, and doing things that I like, I suppose it will not be a hard job to get into retirement... Or, it will? I already see the main problem there... How will I know that I stopped working? ๐
Anyways, back to your post... Congratulations on your retirement; I have no doubt you will enjoy it! You've made a great plan to fulfill your days, and if you follow through with it, you will be fine... Besides having a personal purpose in retirement, I suppose that time is also great to help others... For example, sharing a post like this could be (and it is!) very valuable for people... When I wonder about my "value" in the community, I come back to the point that even if I don't know something, I do have a lot of life experience, which helps!

I can assure you that the photographs you took are ideal for this community, and the video even more so. In fact, while I was watching it, I thought that at some point I was going to hear screams or wailing, see a ghost or something similar. The photos are chilling, and I think the film is very studio-like, although they were able to condition the place quite a bit, especially, for example, the amount of water to make it look more attractive.
I tried to see something in the photos... and I said to myself: I better stop looking because I'm sure something will appear!

I still can't even imagine how the heck they built this 161 meters tall building 600 years ago? I mean, just to get to the top takes time, and the materials, and other stuff? And today, we are not capable of assembling the IKEA furniture without 20 pages manual! ๐
Anyways, I have one person by my side that every time we visit some place, we have to check out the local cathedral, or church... and... the latest addition is to check out if there is a castle around, as we have to check that out too! ๐ There you go, you can add that to your list too, as castles are also a kind of "time capsules" ๐

Often when you visit a place for work, you don't really appreciate or can't fully appreciate its beauty, and then on another occasion it strikes you as wonderful. And yes, the landscape is charming. I especially like what you mentioned, the contrast of colors of the flowers, the blue that many buildings are painted, with the different shades of green and the well-kept gardens. That's what I liked the most.
The fact that there are shaded areas helps you walk around without suffering so much from the heat, if it is an area with high temperatures.

I heard a lot of stories about the indoctrination of children in schools, but many times the problem begins with teachers... I mean, not that they are bad (which some are), but more with their motivation for work, tools, materials, all that you mentioned here...
I remember when I went to school in a "banana country," teachers didn't have chalk to write on the blackboard, or a sponge to clean the board... Their motivation was at a minimum, but somehow, compared with other workers in those times, they had a salary... Not big to be rich, but not too small to live on the street... But, it was a "stable job", and most of the time, a "safe ticket" for politicians' votes! With very low wages, politicians managed to keep teachers "quiet"...

I have mixed feelings about this post, but like everything in life, I think giving the idea a chance is the best way to see if it would work for Hive or not. I like how you're presenting the idea before discussing the new project, because good posts aren't necessarily the best rewarded. I've noticed so many inconsistencies that sometimes it seems like we already have an AI malfunctioning here ๐ But on the other hand, there are many curators and authors focused on doing a good job, both for themselves and to project a positive image here. I'd be inclined to take a look and see how it would work; it's definitely an interesting proposal...
