If we did it, it would change our past, and make us different from what we are at this moment... And we are exactly where we should be!

I love the "small island vibes," and this one sends exactly those! For such a small island, it has plenty of things to check out and enjoy... I suppose if you go in the summer, you can spend more time on the beach, or maybe go fishing with the locals... ;)

I was waiting to see that beauty, not just the painting but Iris!!! I can't believe what a beautiful cat! I was dazzled, and then there was the painting in honour of the goddess Bastet. When I studied Egyptian culture, which you know I love, she was always my favourite goddess, because she represented cats, fertility and femininity.
Your painting is a true tribute to that entire culture, but also to Iris and, of course, to you, and for that reason, happy birthday! I wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful time with your family!

Some say that it is not good to have or accept things, objects, such as dolls in this case, whose origin is unknown, and this story describes what could happen. Bad energies, like good ones, often remain attached to things. But you bring up a case of a doll with a protection ritual; the problem arises when the energies are not entirely good for some reason.
I loved the approach you took to the story and also that the way to solve it is how it should be done in real life. The most valuable thing is that it is a case that you knew first-hand. Thank you very much for bringing it to the community!

This reminds me a lot of one of my favorite actors, Robin Williams... He was always surrounded by many actor colleagues and a lot of fans, and it looked like he was never alone... But deep inside, he was... He was probably hiding his struggles and his real personality, caring more about others and making others laugh, forgetting about himself...
We are having more and more cases of self-concealment, especially among young people who show one thing in public, while hiding deep issues under the skin, behind the cameras...

Beautiful post my dear friend! Every time you talk about your children here on Hive, it's a delight to read you, especially these special memories. I can imagine your eldest son's disappointment at not having a little sister; apparently, I felt the same way 😅 but blood is thicker than water, and love inevitably prevails. It's hard that emigrating was even harder than that second birth, but I don't doubt it. At least I know I did the right thing, because what came after was terrible for a family that was just starting out. Beautiful story, thank you so much for sharing it on #TBT Thursdays...
