@leostrategy is a investment protocol that is roughly modeled on Michael Saylor's Strategy, and is attempting to increase the purchase price and scarcity of the $LEO token. This has been accomplished by sales of two tokens $LSTR and $SURGE, both currently level two tokens on Hive. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of $LSTR and $SURGE have been used to purchase $LEO tokens from the Market on the Hive Blockchain. Leostrategy then powers up the tokens on Hive, or bridges and then stakes the tokens on the decentralized exchange LeoDex.io where staked LEO is incentivized by a proportionate share of the trading fee revenue.
Leostrategy publishes its purchase of $LEO using the the @lstr.alerts account. Once each 24-hours the account publishes a balance sheet update. The most recent update on October 6, indicated Leostrategy has acquired 3,096,750 LEO, or slightly more than 10% of the total supply of 30,000,000.
Inspecting the "Buy" side of the Hive-Engine token market, additional data is available from https://market.crypto-dreamr.com/market/LEO a tool from @thecrazygm and @ecoinstant
From the snapshot collected at 9:45 AM Eastern US Time on October 7, 2025 - Leostrategy had buy orders for ~1,109,290 $LEO tokens at a variety price points, for an approximate value of 449,367 $HIVE. At the time represent ~92.7% of the LEO orders by quantity, and ~ 99.8 of the $HIVE on the market allocated to purchase $LEO.
A substantial quantity of the buy orders are placed at pricing more than 25% lower than the current trading price range of $LEO. At the time of the snapshot $LEO was being traded near a valuation of 0.70 $Hive per $LEO
A substantial number of smaller are constantly placed, filled, or adjusted by active traders, and trading bots within a narrow range close to whatever the current price brands are for $LEO. A substantial portion of the purchase orders at the lower range seem unlikely to be filled based on current trading patterns. From the historical data available from https://tribaldex.com/trade/LEO the largest trading day by volume in the last 60 days occurred on October 1st; when ~81,317 $LEO were traded on the Market for ~58,547 $HIVE. The daily average activity for the past 60 days is ~33,851 $LEO and ~23,533 $HIVE traded on the Market.
The current trend is relatively small fluctuations up and down, with the a net small increase per day. This trend is unlikely to change over the next 30-days unless:
A substantially large volume of $LEO is sold within a narrow window on the market
LEOSTRATEGY repositions its purchase orders higher
New capital enters the market and begins purchasing $LEO
The most enthusiastic $LEO proponents appear to have already spent much of their available onchain capital on $LEO, $SURGE, and $LSTR, the most likely buyer of existing $LEO in the Hive Market for the next 30-days is LeoStrategy.
