LOH: My Spirit Lifting Snacks

I'm not a food addict. Sometimes I can go days without eating solid food, just, just snacks and a whole lot of water. Enjoying the 'lots of water'.

On several occasions, I've had food spoil because I made it and got tired of eating it, and trust me, it can be annoying. But no matter how hard I try to eat I just get tired of food so easily. I think the only days I try so hard to stock my fridge with different varieties of food are days when I have my brother or a friend coming over. Apart from that, I just stick to my pastries and snacks.

Some people attribute it to me trying to watch my weight. But at this point, I barely care about that. I mean, it's all work, work, work, for me that I sometimes even forget what they say about my weight. I know myself not to be overweight.

So, be it the good days or the bad days, my spirit-lifting snacks happen to be the 'Chin Chin', a special West African snack that is crunchy and Milky. It has been my sweet addiction right from my teenage years. Its addiction led me to learn how to make it from my mum, and I have no regrets about it because all I have to do is go to the store, get the ingredients and make as much as I can.

Oh, how delicious they turn out to be.

Just so you know, I'm not the type that snaps my food as I prepare it, so I have no pictures of its preparation, but I can tell you how it's made.

Ingredients

‌2 cups of flour
‌Sugar (add to your taste)
‌One and a half cups of Milk (I love mine with a lot of milk)
‌Half a teaspoon of salt
‌Half a teaspoon of nutmeg
‌Half a teaspoon of baking powder
‌Butter
‌1 egg
‌Vegetable oil

Preparation
‌Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk.
‌Add butter and mix till it's crumby
‌Break the egg and mix till it forms a dough
‌Add a little water and mix
‌Leave for 10 to 15 mins
‌Spread flour on a chopping board and flatten your dough according to the thickness you like
‌Cut into preferred cube sizes
‌Heat oil in a pan and fry until it turns golden brown.

I own the picture above.

Oh no, you can't eat foods, I won't mind relocating to your house just to help in that regard !lol but please make sure you are eating enough to avoid stomach ulcer.

I love chin chin too, most especially if it's very rich and milky.

Why did the art thief's vehicle run out of fuel?
He had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh
