A Holiday Gift With Purpose ~ LOH #267

If I could give a gift that truly has the potential to do good this holiday season, it would be a quality camera for my younger brother. This isn’t just about getting him a gadget that will benefit him, but rather that I am investing in someone’s dream.

This is something I have watched him grow in and steadily over the years and he’s doing just fine with it. In fact, with this, my brother is now a changed and grown-up man compared to the young boy of yesterday. It’s amazing to see how far he has come.

He has been into photography since 2020, even before he entered the university. It all started as a simple interest, and now, it’s so great how he has nurtured the skill with passion and discipline, making him very good at his work. My brother has been having clients, even from the movie industry.

Throughout school, photography wasn't just a hobby for him; it became the work that helped him to survive as a student. From taking pictures at events to creating content for people who trusted his lens, designing fliers, movie advertisements, etc. he has built himself a brand little by little.

He once told us his desire to own a big and professional camera with specifications that match his vision. He spoke about how it would help him take on bigger clients, handle more complex projects and produce the kind of work he had envisioned for himself.

He was so excited on the phone as he kept describing the camera, and I could hear in his voice the confidence he has in what he can become with the right gadgets.

That is why I would like to gift him a camera, the one that holds so much meaning to him. It would also be a perfect time this holiday and Christmas season to handle more projects during this time which will definitely fetch him huge money from them.

This isn’t just about making him happy or granting his desire, but giving him something like a camera would open more doors for him. I believe this camera would be a stepping stone for him to greater heights.

This will surely elevate his skill, expand his opportunities and also, push him closer to the career he dreams about. It is the kind of gift that keeps adding value long after the season is over.

And what would it mean for me? Knowing that I contributed even in such a little way would mean a lot to me because his growth would be the biggest joy.

This would also be more than a gift to him as it’s a form of encouragement, belief in himself and support all intertwined together for him. To me, that is the true meaning of giving.
