Decency in Faithfulness.

It’s really funny how some persons strive to stay faithful just to please others. They stay faithful in relationships, at their place of work, in church and with business partners just to have them sing their praises. Personally, another suitable word for describing “faithfulness” is “decency”. Staying decent doesn’t just affect our appearance alone as regards what we wear, things we say and do not say, things we do and do not do, places we go to and all of that, it is also seen in how we live our lives generally, decency isn’t just a nice dress sense.

In complimenting decency and faithfulness, I’ll say “A faithful person is one whose morals or attitude of faithfulness reflects in his decency”. In other words, Decency Is the action that explains how faithful a person is. Faithfulness can be seen in ways such as sincerity, transparency, and the amount of commitment you give to a person or a thing. The act of Faithfulness buys us a lifetime tag; TRUST, WORTH and HONOUR.

Let’s imagine a scenario where a lady says “I lived a life of good morals, I strive to do everything right, yet nothing is working out for me”. The big question is; What was the cost of your faithfulness? Or does it chose whom to grace? In cases as this, I understand that these persons were ofcourse faithful, but to who were they faithful?, was the act worth any result? It simply answers “staying decent or faithful holds nothing when we aren’t true to it”.
We shouldn’t struggle for it, it shouldn’t be done in stress, we shouldn’t fight with our minds over it. I am not saying that faithfulness is an easy lifestyle, but it should come with peace, satisfaction and assurance.

We shouldn’t do faithfulness because we were asked to or because of what it’ll earn us, we’ll end up struggling for no “prize”. We do not create decency, it should come from inside, it shouldn’t just be a part of you, is should be “you”. Most people suffer unproductiveness because they have the very wrong motive as to why they should be faithful. In times when our “good works” doesn’t pay off, we should retrace back to why and how we started and who we were living for. It didn’t pay off not because you lived a wrong life, but because you live a “good” life in a “wrong” way, getting empty credits for ourselves.

Faithfulness or decency should be for our personal credit with not form or struggle and not because of its forehead gains.
Be faithful and true to yourself because you choose to and not as a lifestyle you live for someone else. They would not understand how much your feet feels from those shoes. Do. It put those years to waste, use them rightly with the perfect motives.
I do hope we live for ourselves and not for others, I do hope we do not throw our lives to waste trying to please the crowd, let the life be yours☺️.
