There are a few things I don't like about the raining season, and I'll talk about them.
The utmost one is the fact that clothes won't get to get dry by the sun. One can do laundry on Saturday, and till the next Saturday those clothes can still be damp. Now I know that there are way to get clothes dry without sun, but many homes in Nigeria can't afford those appliances, neither do they have the space to set them up. Not to talk about the poor power infrastructure. Another reason is that movement becomes limited for people that don't own personal cars. Once it starts pouring, even public transport becomes scarce, causing people to stand under a shade or stay in their houses and wait out the rain. Another is the fact that one can't confidently hold an open air event during this season. A date can be chosen, the weather checked, and everything seems to be ok. And then the heavens will decided to release her watery blessings. The only kind of blessing that has people running and hiding.
Despite all the aforementioned dislikes, there are a few things I like about the raining season. I like how easily the weather gets cold. Because of the prolonged days of rain fall, the house can get slightly damp, and with the slightest blowing of wind, the room can get cold fast, making it unnecessary to turn on the AC or increase the speed of the fan thereby saving power. Another thing I like about this season is how it always leaves the gutters clean in area I live. Sometimes, if it hasn't rained for days, the gutters starts harbouring stagnant water and green things begin to show on the surface of the water. But when it rains, all those things gets washed away, leaving the gutter with beautiful rippled sand, and clear water.
So yeah, the wet season can be annoying, but it still has it's perks.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you soon. 🤗

I can see why the rainy season might not be the preference at times, but I imagine the blessing from not dealing with the heat makes it more bearable a time.
Thank you for your response. Take care and have a lovely day! !LADY
