Psychology. LOH #304

If I had the time, I would go back to the university to study the psychology. As I gets older, I have realized that understanding people is a necessity if I must at least live well amongst people. I know age comes with a lot of understanding for people who are adequately exposed and have the reasonable mentality to assess things, but that kind of understanding heavily relies on experiences, usually experiences that cost a lot. But with psychology, you don’t need all those years of experience to finally get to understand the people around you. You can detect peoples intentions without having to know them personally by just observing their body language. You can see beyond what people say or try to express. You get to know about one of the most studied, yet mysterious aspect of the human being.

Those that have the natural talent of reading people, if they could take it very seriously, they will take the world by storm. Imagine having the natural gift of reading people, and going to study psychology professionally. You no longer just guess what people might do, you know for a fact what they will and why they do what they do. Imagine being a life coach and having a degree in psychology. Or a sales representative that knows exactly how the human mind works. Sales becomes something you do as if you are breathing.

After learning psychology, I will move on to become public speaker. I know it might sound out of place, but knowing exactly what your audience wants to hear and giving it to them is what makes a great speaker. And the best way to know that is to be able to read their behaviours. I know one can learn that from years of experience from speaking, but imagine easy it will become for someone with a background in psychology.

In conclusion, once given the opportunity, psychology is the way.
