I really don't know how I would behave or act as a mother-in-law but I will use my mom as an example. Now, my mom is this kind of Lady that whosoever are children brings home as their spouse she never has any objection, she welcomes everybody with an open arm the only time she has ever objected to any of her children spouse was when I brought back home my partner and with what has happened and what is happening now I totally see reasons with her and I'm happy she objected.

My elder brother to the best of my knowledge has dated four different girls and each time he brings them home, mom is always all over the place trying to welcome them, trying to impress them not really impress impress but she is welcoming, even up to my sisters on the other hand, the times they bring their spouse (they are married by the way) to the house my parents never objected like anyone they bring she's fine with them. According to her "so far you're ok with the person and you're sure you're making the right choice." So when it comes to the aspect of a mother-in-law I think I would do nice let's say it's because I have experienced, I have lived in the atmosphere of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law being besties and I don't think there is any gain in being a wicked mother-in-law or lets say hostile mother-in-law.

I told my partner one time that the kind of relationship I would want with any family member close to me that is a female is the relationship of besties (I didn't really think much about the males). We go to the market together and then we gist, team up and all. The women supporting women atmosphere, that's all I would ever want as a mother-in-law and if para venture the son-in-law or daughter-in-law is not having it or comfortable with it. Then I have to give them their space and time, no need to be hostile.
