Dressing. LOH #301.

"Beauty begins with us and comes from within us". I really couldn't agree more with this saying, because we are first beautiful in our own sight and mind before we accept that information from someone else. I know some people say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," but we too have to be beholders of our own beauty.

Due to this understanding, when I do dress up, I do it with the thought that I need to look good enough to boost my confidence, and also because I know I will be representing the people that care about me. We already know the saying that goes, "you are addressed by the way you dress", so I know that when I dress well, I won't have any reason to feel timid (judging by looks). Also, people will respect me too.

There was a time I was going to do something in our village, and because I knew the nature of what I was going to do, I didn't bother about looking good. I just pulled out clothes from my closet and put, not minding how shabby it turned out. Just as I was leaving the house, my dad called me back, and siad said these words to me: "Why are you going to the village dressed like this? Don't you know that anyone who sees you has seen me too? Would you feel good seeing me in the village dressed as shabby as you are?" If you had guessed, my response was no. So I had to go back inside and pick something better. And yes, the new outfit did make me feel good, with the way it looked on me, and knowing I would be proud to see my dad look that good moving around the village.

So yeah, I do dress up in ways that would make me feel good, and with the consciousness of how I would be addressed by those I would meet.
