Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Ladies Of Hive which says:
What is one thing you’ve unlearned in the first half of the year that improved your life? It could be a habit, a mindset, or a direction you were heading in. If you haven’t unlearned anything, what is one thing you learned during this time that has made your life better? So let's dive in.
Honestly, we all have something we are learning, unlearning, or re-learning. For me, one thing I have unlearned in this first half of the year is procrastination, and I thank God for that. I'm the type of person who loves postponing things a lot. Even if something will only take me less than 10 minutes to do, I will still keep putting it off. As people always say, procrastination is not a good habit.
There was a time in last semester when one of my lecturers told us we would be having his test in our next class, which was on Wednesday. Since the course was a bit difficult, I was supposed to start reading immediately, but I didn't. I kept telling myself I would read the next day. When the next day came, I still postponed it until another day. It wasn't as if I didn't have time to read. I was just feeling tired and lazy. Before I knew it, it was already Tuesday, and I started panicking because the test was the next day. I ended up doing TDB (Till Day Break), reading from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. because of my own mistake.

There was something that happened beginning of this year that I can't remember vividly, but I'm sure it's that thing that happened that taught me a lesson, and since then, I have stopped procrastinating because I realized how harmful it can be. The truth is that procrastination is not good, and it can affect us in ways we never expect.
Another thing I'm doing in this first half of the year is learning a new skill, which is tailoring. I love fashion, and I hope to own a fashion brand one day. By God's grace, I'm making progress, and I'm grateful for how far He has brought me.
In conclusion, procrastination is not a good habit, and I believe we should all try to unlearn it. Instead, we should learn something that will help us with our growth.
