Spending Our Day Volunteering: Women's Strength Could Contribute To The Project

It was early in the morning when we traveled, eager and ready to spend the day volunteering at the new Kingdom Hall being built.

We joined a group of volunteers, each of us assigned to different tasks that would help bring the project closer to completion.

Our day began with a safety briefing.

‎We put on our helmets, boots, and vests.

The site overseer explained the day's goals and how we could best contribute.
‎
‎Today, we were determined to make a difference, not just through our efforts, but by showing how our strength as women could contribute powerfully to the project.
‎
‎Our first task was mixing and pouring concrete for the foundation.
‎
‎The workers watched in surprise as we confidently carried heavy buckets of gravel and water.
‎
‎We then poured the mixture carefully into the molds.
‎
‎Next, we helped lay bricks on the outdoor patio, mixing mortar and passing bricks along the line.
‎
‎It was satisfying to see the wall taking shape, knowing we played a part in it.
‎
‎Around midday, we paused for a break, sharing packed lunches and chatting with the builders and other volunteers.

It was inspiring to hear their stories and learn about their dedication to the project.
‎
‎In the afternoon, we assisted with installing windows and holding the frames steady, despite their weight, ensuring they lined up perfectly.
‎
‎We might not have been professional workers, but our enthusiasm and teamwork made a difference.

As the sun set, we packed up our tools, feeling proud of what we'd accomplished.
‎
‎We left knowing we contributed something meaningful — helping build a space where many people would gather, learn, and grow.
‎
‎It was a long day, but one that was filled with purpose and teamwork.
‎
