The Beauty Of Ordinary Things-LOH#303.

If you scroll through my camera roll, you won't need to be told before you know that I'm someone who loves to keep memories. You will find a lot of random screenshots, pictures of food, wares, events, people, selfies, random short videos, and all of that.

Mind you, most of these pictures won't even be beautiful or worth posting. Either because I wasn't in a good pose or the other person wasn't well-posed or because of something else.

I actually love to take pictures, so I take pictures of moments I know I want to remember. Could be funny moments, ordinary ones, pictures of those I care about, and a lot more. In short, you would barely find anything extravagant in my camera roll. But you will definitely see happy days, ordinary moments that may not mean anything to you, but they are things, wins, moments, and people I do not want to forget.

And talking about a luxury that is kind of overrated to me. I don't know whether to say this or not. But then, for me, it is owning a huge house. Yes. I love houses; I love to have my own space. I love it being big too, but not huge. Though I know we have our preferences and all. Some love in all big, all spacious and all, but I just feel bigger doesn't equate better.

I love a comfortable, not-so-big house that gives me peace instead of building or owning a large one. Who exactly am I using it to impress, myself? My family? Visitors who will only come by once in a while? Nah. I was worked with a man who has a 22 bedroom apartment. He even begged me then to move into any of the rooms. The house was an upstairs with two boys quarters. All of it was fully furnished. He has just 5 children. And guess what? Ever since he's built that house, never for once has the whole building been fully occupied.

Even if they have family events, most people who come by to maybe celebrate with them do go ahead to rent hotel rooms instead of taking the free rooms in his house. I really do not know why, even still, you would build something that huge. You could have built a hotel instead and made money off it.

Even if I could afford something as big and huge as that, I would still ask myself what exactly it is that I need. Yes, why go ahead to build a house that big with several rooms that are well furnished but which I wouldn't use? Real luxury is comfort, peace, and freedom.
