If I were asked who I am like in the family, I wouldn't even have to think very long before answering, “My Mom.” It's funny that growing up I spent a fair amount of my teen years trying not to be like her. I felt she was very strict and at times too serious.... I wanted to long different and live life without worrying about all the potential traps ahead.

Now that i am grown older, i am now more like her than I ever thought I'd be.
My mother is the type of woman, who can take care of others without a third party knowledge.. She can sense when someone is not in the right frame of mind and she just knew when something was wrong even when no one uttered a word... I've begun doing the same. I am so preoccupied with thinking about my siblings' well-being and checking on friends and making sure everyone has eaten before thinking about myself. Most times I laugh because I know that I have taken on one of my mom's top habits.
We're so much alike when it comes to money... My mom isn't the kind of person that would spend a lot of money because it's theirs... She knows that there is always tomorrow and that you don't know what it might hold, so she saves something for the future and I find myself doing the same thing now.
One other gift I have received from my mother is her strength. She's endured trials and tribulations in her life, but she didn't turn sour on it. I do recall occasions when it was difficult for us as a family, but she would get up every morning and get ready and do what needed to be done... I didn't realize that as a child, she was quite strong. I could only see a woman doing what she had to do. Now as an adult, I know there was a lot of courage there to learn in those normal moments.
I'm also starting to sound more like her than I ever have before and at times I hear myself giving advice, and I know that I am saying pretty much the same words that she said when I was a kid. I will say, "Think carefully before making a choice", "Save money", or "Don't rely totally on other people". I will get comments from my siblings saying: “OK, you are becoming Mum.” I don't take offense to them, I laugh, because they are correct.
I'm not exactly like my mum because I have my own personality, my dreams and my own view of the world and I do things differently that she doesn't but as I get older, more I enjoy the traits I got from her.
I'd be lucky to become half the woman that my mother is because i never wanted it to happen and now it has become one of my most proud traits.
Thanks fo reading..

STOPMost ladies are like their mom. Myself is also a replica of my mom, maybe that's how God loves to create mothers and some of their daughters... Just to represent that qualities in our mothers.
