#LOH 104 my experience 30years back and now

Good day wonderful ladies in this community how is each and everyone of you doing? Family, Work, business and everything? Sure everything is moving all smoothly! Thanks to the Almighty for everything. I'm delighted and perplex with this Wonderful topic all thanks to the organizers and the initiators of this topic more grace and God bless you all.

I will like to share my experience as regards to;
🔸 #LOH104 30 years ago, what do you remember as a woman -vs- what is happening in the world today. One memory and what the change has been whether positive or negative.

I could remember vividly in the early 1990s when coins was still in high use that with 50k and #1 I can buy beans cake (acara) and receive change as at then! Because one beans cake was sold for 10k so I can get three for my self and my siblings and this beans cake was very.

Not just that with 50k to #1 we can buy one or two cups of rice. I will never for get buying of fish I mean fish with #2.

Great ladies the cost of living was very affordable to everyone including the poor masses. Although were my parents stayed there was no light with the use of lantern one can move easily at any time be it night or day time.

As a child I could remember my DAD use to buy a cloth for I and my siblings that will take up to three years to be our size. But today guess what I make a choice of what I want to wear at any time.

But guess what today!
That same beans cake that was sold for 10k each is now sold for #50 and #100 and the size of it can't be compared to then, I mean beans cake of #50 can not serve my last baby not to talk of my five children.

Fish that was sold for #2 then visit this same fresh fish today and you'll be amazed to hear #1500 I mean the little one among them.

Yes there was no much civilization the way it is now but at least one can eat and that was why our parents and grand parents had much children because their farm produce sustains them to the next season of harvest.

My mum was a Baker back then (God's favour bakery) I can still remember she buys a bag of flour for #1500 and a bag of sugar was sold for #3000 while a keg of groundnut oil was sold at #1800 these are the major once the a cartons of baking powder was sold at #1000 create of egg was #600 or so I can't really remember other things is just peanut. But today;
Flour #28,900
Sugar forty something
Egg #1800
Oil #3700
And for the increase of all these people are now using bromate which very harmful to the health.

Today oh what I'm facing feeding my five kids are not easy not to talk of the poor masses at the villages.

Today we're facing problem of tourism (unknown gun men and ungun known men) every where invading the villages destroying the farmers crops, killing them and rapping mother and girl child in the farm. With this sudden outbreak going to the farm earlier as it was before is now a very big risk.

Now because of hunger on a increase people now invade others farm and harvest their crops.

I can't move any how at night or even day kidnapping wasn't there in the 90s but today everybody is a suspect the kidnappers in questions may involve my neighbor, friend, teacher etc. Today there's fear on the high side.

What more can I say in the 1990s there was flood but not as what we're experiencing today. Presently over 6000 family has been placed because of flood; some lost their lives in the flood, some it was their property, some can't even tell the whereabout of their love once. I pray that God will help us this time Amen.
