It's awesome that you have certain ways to calm yourself when you are emotionally hurting. Taking a walk, listening to music, and spending time in nature are healthy ways that can soothe the soul.

And I hear you, recovery doesn't mean forgetting. It's keeping on courageously, even when the pain lingers.
