They're certain things you grow up hearing aand you just eventually accept them as facts
One of those thing is te motion that women cannot really be friends for very long.

Women have too many enemies, too many reasons to be jealous, too many feelings to experience and too much of a competitive nature to develop friendship with one another on a deep level.
It has been there for a long time and I never thought twice about it.
Well, I didn't need to. Being a guy, it was not exactly in the middle of the whole friendships thing with girls and watching what they do. so I just had that cliches in my mind.
Getting older, however, and have come to the conclusion that the stereotype doesn't match.
Some of the best friendships I've seen are among women.
I've witnessed friendships that have endured years, geography, marriage, job changes, and life's ups and downs with my sisters. I've seen my mom and her friends encourage one another in tough times in a way that I would say is really impressive to me.
Is not that they dont disagree, but what is remarkable is that they never really disagreed completely, if it happens they were willing to work through disagreements rather than walk away.
Many of us have a model of friendship that we have learned as men. Friends through shared activities – football, work, business, game, school. We can be great friends for months, and not speak at all.
I've noticed that female friendships, at least in my experience, take a different type of investment.
There is more verification.
More emotional support.
More intentional conversations.
Greater attempts to maintain contact.
I recall one day when my point of view shifted.
During a hard time, a friend of my moms just showed up. No phone call or announcement. She just knew things were bad and came out to help.
That stuck with me.
One of the things that I've noticed in society is that women are put in situations where one almost has no choice but to compare. Women are constantly being compared to each other in every aspect of life, from looks to career to relationships to parenthood and more... but for many women this does not prevent them from forming powerful support networks with others.
That isn't weakness.
That's strength.
However, not all female friendships work out.
Nor do friendships between men.
People fall out, Misunderstandings happen, Life gets busy.
But I don't believe those negative realities about women's ability to be true friends. What I have seen, quite the contrary.
I think it's people looking on the outside, not seeing what's happening on the inside.
They witness some strife but not the years of loyalty.
They see the conflict but not the reconciliation.
They look at the competitions and don't see the support.
I've been on the outside, and I can say that in my experience a lot of female friendships are stronger and more purposeful than people realize.
I have learned that strong friendships don't just occur.
They are created one way... through consistency, trust, forgiveness and being there for people when they need you most.
