THE EDUCATION I'M STILL WORKING TOWARDS .LOH304.

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

If I had the time and I didn't have to think about money to get to study any educational course, I already know what I would do and that is COMPUTER SCIENCE, I will want to get a proper certification in computer science , I mean the kind of certificate that backs you up and tells anybody that sees it that you know what you are doing. So this is why I like computers, I haven't attended any university or any tertiary institution, this is because I have not had the opportunity to go to one, I don't even have the means of getting myself there yet, and that is why I currently work to be able to do that.

So my love for computer science started when I was staying with my uncle and his wife, he had enrolled me to a computer school, it's not a big deal as at then , it was just a small shop where basic things about computers were done, typing, photocopying, designing, etc. it is why we call a Cyber Cafe , it was there I developed interest in computers, when I started I didn't have any knowledge what to do, but as I went on and on, I started grabbing, I was taught alot, how to use the computer, even when something stopps working ,I was taught how to fix the basic things.
Now the knowledge I had from this Cyber Cafe is the reason why I am currently at this job I am doing, I teach in a secondary school and I know I do well, I teach them well, because I have had alot of their parents come meet me to say I have impacted their kids alot, and I should suggest study centers for them to further learn more.

And this is the reason why I want to go further, because right now I teach what I know, and yes it has been useful, but there are some moments I feel that I'm working at the edge of my knowledge, when a student asks me something, I can answer it, but I want to give them more than just an answer, I want to give them the depth, I want to explain not just the what, but also the why behind everything and for that I need more than just what I learnt at that Cafe Sixteen years ago .

A proper Computer science class and certification will do that for me, it would fill the gaps,it will gimme me structured understanding that's turns someone who is good to someone who becomes more better at what they do, . It would give me confidence in the classroom that goes beyond just knowing enough to get by, I want to stand in front of those students and feel like I have something solid behind me, not just experience but actual certified knowledge.

I also think about what it would open up beyond where I am now, Computer science is not going anywhere, if anything the world is needing it more every year, having a proper qualification in it means more doors, more options, more ways to be useful to people around me.
