When it's more than just an item to me// LOH contest #246.

Good day elegant Ladies, how are all these wonderful Ladies in the house doing, hope the Sunday at your end is well spent. It feels so good to be in a new week and for this week we are been offered with two tempting and intriguing topic but for this week I would be participating on the contest topic which says: 2️⃣ Some things we own may not look like much to others, but to us they mean the world. Do you have something like that in your possession that holds deep meaning, even if it’s not worth much on the surface? What makes it so special to you? Let roll on.

I kind of have three items even though they are more than that but for this contest I would be discussing on just these three items which holds alot of significance to me and the first item I would be discussing about is my handkerchief. This handkerchief has been in my possession for about seven (7) years or even more because I lost count of it, infact I would soon be celebrating it's first golden decade in some few years to come because it is not actually easy, well how I got this handkerchief was from a friend of mine back then in secondary school where she gave it to me as a gift and ever since then I have kept it, I have been using it not that I enjoy the design or anything like that because many designs, colour and texture has been sold but it is because when ever I see that handkerchief I remember those memories of secondary school, when I see it I remember my best friend in secondary school even though we are no longer close now but we shared something before and I would never forget it so even though I get other handkerchief which I have obviously gotten I would always keep this one with me because unlike what people would say about my old handkerchief to me it holds alot of memories which I cherish the most.

The next is my sandals, so old and wornout but I never got tired of wearing them even though it got to the point that I stopped wearing them because it hardly fits my combo or I started feeling it was old fashioned but recently I started to wear it to lectures and even to church, so when I saw this topic on what I value the most which hold deep meaning my mind wandered back to these wonderful pair of shoes, they might look outdated, old fashioned, wornout or even faded but it was actually a gift from one of my big aunties and this me always appreciate gifts especially if it's comes from the place of love so when ever I see this pair of shoes my mind reflect back to those days where I was been pampered and loved.

The last one I have here is my wrapper, this one holds alot of sentiment too, it was given to me by my mother and we all know what it means for a mother to get you a wrapper to be using for bathing, to me it represents love, affection and care towards the female child, I was using a torn one which was old and tardy before my mom got this one for me and I could remember been very happy on that said day and anytime I feel like remembering home these are one of the things that take me back to memory lane.

The items I listed here are definitely not new they are old,I have kept them in a good position and uses them properly which to me is a way of telling the person that gave them to me that I cherish them and would always keep that memories, people around would not see It as something of such important but as they would always say "it's the person that wears the shoe that knows where it itches" so it is me who have had experience with them that knows it value.
