Hello beautiful family welcome to Ladies Of Hive Community contest #280, I would be your favorite host for this occasion and for this week's ride we would be looking at abusive behavior, stay tuned as you get more information on this.

Around my secondary school days I had one conversion with a classmate and he was asking me if I drink alcohol and I was like surprised as to why he would be asking me such question as if drinking alcohol was a normal thing which is generally accepted, so I told him I have never tasted alcohol and I don't think I would ever take it, the statement he told me almost took me off balance but I had to restrain.
He was like one day I would take alcohol and when I eventually do I would call him to tell him I did because according to him alcohol is something you can't do without throughout your existence and I had to reject whatever he thinks he is saying back to him because I wasn't going to sit there and allow someone dictate my life would turn. So the point of all this is to paint a picture of what social pressure means but the brighter side of this picturing is that it comes with either you accept the pressure or decline it so in highlight to all these social pressure is a situation where people who are more like your friends make you to do certain things or even has an influence on you to do things that on your own by your will you wouldn't have thought about it talk more of doing it and most times just because we want to be acknowledged, seen, accepted or even fit in you tend to do it.
Going back to the question in the prompt topic "Have you ever tolerated abusive behavior from someone close to you due to social pressure?" Well none that I can remember or think of, I am definitely not perfect but for this one I haven't had any strong effect of abusive behavior to the extent of even tolerating it because this girl here is a stubborn girl right from childhood and I took that from my mom which I always call the lioness of the house, I could be all loving and sweet if you want me to but you wouldn't want to taste that other side and I definitely don't hesitate to show it out.
Right from the start I am well loved, seen, heard, and accepted at home so I didn't necessarily looked for it or even needed it from people outside, this is the point where I drop my pen and leave you to digest all of these and I hope you enjoyed your stay, thank you all for stopping by and I hope to see you all next time🥰😘.

I'm glad you've been a strong woman since you were young and haven't allowed any abuse due to social pressure. Hugs

People tend to want to 'fit in', and peer/social pressure just is not cool! It's good that you are strong! Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!
Peer pressure make people do things they can actually decline doing things like drinking and abusing drugs.
But the truth is you have an option to say
The love and values you received at home are undoubtedly reflected in your refusal to accept any pressure, which, as you say, you neither seek nor need from outsiders to feel accepted. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us,

I don't usually drink, while in college I knew I was being pressured to drink but I got out of it by first volunteering to be the designated driver. On top of that I have an idea where the drunk driver police stops were usually located and drive into them on purpose. "Hi officer, I didn't drink so I'm driving my drunk friends home safe."
