Hello beautiful ladies of hive community and all wonderful hivers, it's so elating to see you stop by my blog, today, I will be participating in the ladies of hive contest, thanks to this week's question by @justclickindiva which states:
What job would you be absolutely terrible at?
In my lifetime, I've had to take on several temporary jobs either to pass time, earn something or just for the fun of it.
There was a time I came back home from school for the holidays, and decided to get a temporary job as usual, so I visited an airtel (a mobile provider) office, my friend had earlier hinted me on an available vacancy for the post of a receptionist, the job didn't require dressing cooperate and a high degree, you just need to be friendly and speak well also you could dress casual no strict dressing rule, I love it immediately, so I wore a jean trouser and a T-shirt with my sneakers to the location.
On getting there, I was informed that the receptionist position was already taken , as I was about leaving, the manager in charge saw that I was young and looked lively, then he offered another job, I got excited for another opportunity until she mentioned what was available, they had a jamboree in few days which was going to last for few weeks and needed dancers who could entertain the crowd, all I had to do put on an airtel T-shirt and dance holding the airtel sim cards and their other products for 6 hourrrrs long, she mentioned the pay, it was a good daily pay, but the problem was I'm not a stepper, I can't even dance to save myself haha, especially dancing publicly for that matter, my shyness will not allow me, so I had to turn down the job with its enticing pay because of my lack of dancing skills and shyness. The manager felt sorry, thinking I was going to hop on the offer, little did he know that Glory might look lively, carefree, and wild, but within, she is a gentle shy girl.
If it were to be a talk or singing show, I would have accepted the offer, but dancing haha, I would fail woefully. So that's it, I would be terrible at it If offered a dancing job.
Thank you for reading to the end❤❤.
Hahaha... I think the manager got excited that he finally saw someone that could suit the required energetic woman. 😅 Unfortunately, he didn't get successful in choosing the right one. 😂
🤣🤣 the disappointment was not expected, I even dressed like an hip hop that day😂😂
Thanks for stopping by.
Hahahaha, dancing is a very difficult thing oooo, I think we're in the same shoe, even if is 5 million I will let it go too ooo.
Haha, although I love watching people dance and wish I could too, I guess we were too fast to come to earth and didn't wait for the angel of dance to lay hands on us lol🤣🤣
Hello @glorydee. Performing in front of an audience is indeed intimidating, at least for me. I can understand your hesitation. Sometimes the offer of money isn't worth it. Thinking that others will laugh or make fun of you is the worst thing possible. Instinctively you knew the job wasn't for you. Good thing you followed your gut feeling.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Take care.

If I could dance, I would have tried taking the job, I was very young and needed money for personal upkeep then, but my dancing skills are terrible, instantly I knew the job wasn't for me.
Thank you for this warm comment ma'am, I really appreciate.

Dancing is a job I could have done, about thirty years ago! I love to dance for an audience. I love to sing for one too. It's funny because from your photograph I would have guessed that you are a dancer.

Wow, you should have tried. I wouldn't have taken it either because I suck at dancing and I am the only one in my family who can't dance.
I even have plans of bribing the MC on my wedding day so that he can skip many of the dance part for me.
Haha, they would have probably sacked me on the first day.
Please don't, dance anyhow, it's your day after all.
Thanks for coming around🙂.
Most people are good dancers but in their head only😅. Too bad your lack of dancing skills made you lose a job.
But you know that moving left and right is also a form of dancing except the manager wanted people who would stand with their hands and raise their legs up😅
#dreemport
Exactly, he wanted such kind of dancers, the deal is to lure in more customers with you dance and I'm not up for that haha😂😂
Oh my, I thought as much😅.
Good thing you backed out when you could.
Dancing, I can understand sometimes gets awkward, but I guess it is also one of the best form of physical fitness. You can get into some daily home routines of practicing and I am sure you will start enjoying.
I dance at home, but not the dance that was expected of me in this regard.
Thanks for stopping by.
😂😂 This is a very funny story
And here I was thinking that we are all meant to jump at any and all opportunities pushed our way.
I feel you dear, I would also have turned down the offer for fear of looking like a fool in front of people.
I thought so too o, but this one off me haha🤣🤣
I get u, I would be a terrible dancer too... I mean how dancers are so conscious of their body's parts and how to move them is an amazing thing to see but do it, is really difficult😄.
