RE: She was not supposed to kick that bucket this year

This broke my heart to read. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of Idrain, and of her mother too. Thank you for finding the courage to tell her story 💜

Sadly, I can relate to this more than I wish I could. I have watched too many of my own friends go through the very same thing, and it is always the good ones, the precious, giving souls who deserve every candle lit in their honor, who somehow end up treated the worst.

I think there is a quiet psychology behind why they stay. So many do not want to be seen as the one who failed, the one whose broken marriage everyone can see, so they hold it all inside. And often they hold on so tightly because they have already survived so much loss and heartbreak before, so they decide to be the good, patient wife just once, never imagining it could cost them their life. And when the man is a true narcissist, he slowly drains all that goodness until it turns pale.

Please keep writing about this. Keep raising awareness, keep making that call for anyone in this situation to leave and to speak up. Stories like Idrain's can genuinely save a life.

And to any woman reading who feels alone in it, please hear this, you are precious, you are loved, even on the days you feel the complete opposite. Rest well, Idrain 💜

To some extent, yes there is a quiet reason why they choose to stay
