WHEN TRUTH DEMANDS A VOICE, THOSE WHO STAY SILENT ARE PART OF THE CRIME.

Listen, silence is not always golden, sometimes silence is betrayal.
Get your couch and seat down let me tell you that we live in a time where evil is no longer hiding. Nowadays, evil is loud and bold. It oppresses the worker and steals his salary. It pollutes the environment and kills the inhabitants. It lies in court and calls the victim the criminal.
That is the best way to describe evil.

And when truth demands a voice... many of us look away.
We say things like I don't want to put mouth in another person's matter and we also say, if I talk, they will target me.
Lastly everyone agrees to mind their own business.

But let me tell ourselves the truth. There is no neutral ground in the presence of injustice.

If you see your boss owing a worker for five months and you stay silent because you are also collecting your own salary, you are part of the crime.

If you see a girl being harassed, a child being abused, a community being cheated, and you have the power to speak but you stay silent to remain peaceful, you are part of the crime.

Your silence did not keep you neutral. It kept the oppressor comfortable.

Today, it is happening in our offices, in our churches, in our villages, on social media.

We have become a generation that is quick to post memes, but slow to post the truth. Quick to gossip in private, but silent in public where it matters.

Truth is not always convenient but it is always necessary.

Speaking up does not mean you should shout and insult people, no. It means to refuse to cover evil, don't help your oga lie against that junior staff whose salary he refused to pay, stand with the victim, even if it's just one comment.
One voice saying this is wrong can give the victim hope. Don't benefit from silence. If you know the river is polluted with chemicals and you still tell people to drink from it and cook food with it, your silence is poison too.

I have learned this the hard way that the world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them and do nothing.

So the next time truth is standing in front of you, bruised and begging for a voice, don't walk away. Lend it your voice. Even if your voice shakes.

Because at the end of your life, God will not only ask you what evil you did. He will ask you what good you failed to do when you had the chance.
