Mother’s are precious gift to mankind
Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain! Welcome back to my blog for another edition of the #ladiesofhive community topic: whether your mother is with us in person or in spirit, what is/was your plan to celebrate Mother’s Day?
Mothers are a special gift to mankind. I don’t think there is any greater gift than mothers; there is nothing as sweet as having a mother who cares for you, sacrifices for you, understands you and loves you unconditionally. A home without a mother is really lacking; they are the pillars of the family, the strongest vessel that bonds the family together with love and care. And you really have a mother; you should count yourself as one of the luckiest people on earth because you are blessed with the best thing that money can’t afford. I am so happy celebrating the virtues women I am blessed with. Mother’s Day is not all about emptying your account; what really matters is the love and the memories we create.
Today we are celebrating our mother. Heaven knows that if my heart can be open, my mom means the world to me. She has impacted a lot in life. She deserves the best. Sincerely, I admire all mothers in the world for their sacrifice, courage and strength. The world will not be fun if we don't have our mothers. They are a precious gift.
Every year that mothers are celebrated, I was reminded when I was still a child. My mom would stay hungry just to make sure I and my siblings eat. The amazing thing is she would be smiling just to make sure that we don’t notice that she is hungry. Mothers' mothers are amazing; they are the warriors and strength of every family.
It has become a ritual that every Mother’s Day the whole family will go to church with my mom to celebrate that special day with her. Nothing makes Gladys, my mom than to see every one of us follow her to church to thank God for keeping our mom for us.
My mom is not the type that loves big celebrations, so the celebration was within family and friends. After church, all of us headed home to celebrate our mom on this special day. There was a lot to eat and drink. It was really an emotional moment for Mom as I and my siblings expressed our feelings to her about how grateful we are to have each of us present a gift to her.
In the evening we went on a hangout with Mom just for her to see how beautiful the town is in the evening. She was really happy. This year Mother’s Day is the best for my mom because she has her grandchildren and son-in-law celebrating with her.
The moment I looked at my mom during the hangout, she was just smiling, and she was so happy to have us around her on that special day. Most times our moms don’t need celebration; the joy of having us around during Mother’s Day means a lot to them.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers out there. I love and celebrate you today. I pray for the good God to keep protecting you and keep you strong for us.

I couldn't help but being reminded of what I gave up on just to make sure my children have a safe home, enough food on the table and a fine education. On the surface things would appear fine but reality is much harder than it appeared to be. There were times I was financially strained from unexpected expenses. I spent more time away from home taking on extra shifts, working holidays and working vacations. It's hardwired into our genes. We now understand the hopes and dreams of our mothers.
