What are your thoughts on school bullying? How would you address it? If you have children, what would be your best advice for your child if they were to become a victim of bullying, and what would you do?
Hello #ladiesofhive, I welcome you to a beautiful new week. The weather is becoming calmer after months of persistent heat.

Bullying is a cankerworm that has eaten deep into our schools and society at large. At some point in my life, I paused from engaging in some social media front-end because of the fake life and bullying. It can be defined as the persistent intimidation of another. This can be through body shaming or being beaten.
Recently, in the eastern part of my country, two students were seen in a viral video beating a junior student for unclear reasons. A few days later, the state governor ordered an investigation into the cause of such reckless bullying. The culprits were arrested and dismissed from the school. This kind of bullying has been happening from time to time. In a certain alleged bullying that generated public outrage, the victim was sent to the beyond in his early teens.
Fortunately, none connected to me have been involved in such bullying, except for the home power tussle among siblings to attract affection and attention. However, sometimes it may tilt towards bullying, and once the red flags start flashing, I put it to check by calling those involved and settling it immediately.

Conversely, if my child should be a victim of a bully, whether in the environment, school, or church, I will have to tread softly. Some of the steps I will take include investigating the bullying, scheduling a meeting with the bully's parents and school, and requesting a documented report and an undertaking from the school and parents of the bully. However, if the bully continues, I will withdraw my child from the school after reporting the incident to the proper regulatory bodies and documenting what transpired.
Additionally, I will give my child some time to heal, take him out for outdoor games to meet people, and relax. I will also engage the child more to confirm the extent of the damage the bully has done. If it is bad, I will take the child to the teen pastor for prayers and engage a therapist. With all the above, once confidence is restored and healing confirmed, I will properly search for another school and enroll my child.
