An image of my father 💯
There are some people you resemble in physical appearance, and there are others whose character you carry without even trying.
For me, that person is my father
Sometimes I look at the way I think, the way I react, the way I solve problems, and the way I approach life, and I realise that i am a lot like my father.
My dad is a deeply logical man, he does not just accept things because they are presented to him.
He questions it, observes, analyses, and thinks beyond what is obvious. He has this natural ability to understand people.
You can tell him a story, and before you finish, he has already noticed the gaps in it and if your story does not make sense, he will tell you, you can't deceive him easily.
And that is one of the strongest qualities I inherited from him, I think deeply.
I am naturally curious about why things happen and how they can be made better. When people see a problem, I often see a possibility for a solution.
I am not a lawyer, but yet I tend solve problems, neither I'm a psychologist, but I try to understand people.
I am not a mediator by profession, but I believe almost every conflict can be approached through communication, negotiation, and understanding.
I also got my dad's quietness.
We are not the type that talk just because there is silence in the room, we simply observe while listening. And when we finally speak, we want our words to mean something.
My dad's words often carry the weight of experience and his advice comes from what he has seen, what he has survived, what he has achieved, and even the mistakes he has made.
I also see his ambition in myself yes, my dad is hardworking, focused, and intentional about building wealth.
For him, it is not simply about having money today. It is about investments, assets, opportunities, and creating something that will outlive you and that mindset has stayed with me.
Of course, I also inherited some of his imperfections. He can be short-tempered, especially when someone refuses to admit they are wrong or say “sorry.” Interestingly, I sometimes see that same fire in myself. 😂
But perhaps that is what makes inheritance beautiful. We do not only receive the polished parts of people, we also receive pieces of their humanity too.
I am my father's first seed, but I am also his reflection.
The intelligence and his smartness, the silence and reason behind it, the ambition of course his vision, the discipline, the problem-solving mind, and the desire to create impact, I see my dad in all of these things.
And honestly, if I am like someone, it is my father
I am grateful that it is him
