PUT AN END TO BULLYING AND FIGHT FOR YOUR KIDS. LOH #286
For any child to be bullied in school or among his peers is very dangerous act, bullying is more like stealing, if a child is bullied his safety, boldnes to speak and ability to learn are all stolen when bullied. You see bullying its not just a child's play, it is pure intimidation be it physical or emotional, it has brought a lot of damage to once a brilliant kid to be timid and silent, they now lack confidence to speak for themselves. We the parents are too busy to notice when our kids are being bullied and other kids in school are scared to report to the school authorities as witness so that they won't be their next victim.
When bullying is been addressed properly will put an end to it and alot of kids has lost their lives because of it. First the the school authority should put a culture that will stand, because establishing rules and regulations will not alone put a stop to bullying. There should be policies, the school has to provide a report box, that any child will drop a note when in danger or bullied. There should be severe punishment for bullies and if need demand they should be suspended or expelled from the school. The bullies should not only be punished, they be counselled to quite bullying so that it won't affect them when they are adults.
If my kid happens to be a victim of bullying, I will advise them to fight back not for themselves not to avoid to be put to shame but for their safety inorder escape from danger. I will tell them to take note of the date and place for evidence because bullies are very good at lying when caught and I will also tell my kids not to stay in a lonely place rather they should be with trusted friends and stay where people are much so that they will have a witness, because bullies don't like when there is a witness.
So as mother, if my kid is being bullied in school, and they where able to speak out, I will let them know that am happy that they spoke out than keeping it to themselves. Without hesitating I go to the school to report with an evidence of the bullying. I will also demand for a safety note from the school for my kid. If peradventure i noticed any form of unseriousness from the school, I will take it legal or to the higher level of the education systems.
Bullying makes a kid to be weak and also to lost their confidence, so for them to stand out and defend themselves when bullied, i will as a parent enroll them to a Kung Fung or boxing class and also teach them some coding lessons, and if there's need for therapy I will provide one for them.
As parents we should handle bully as a serious violation by so doing it will help to put an end to bullying. As for me I will always stand and fight for the safety of kids anytime and by doing so will make them confined in me.
