LOH 293- Am more of a celebrator than being celebrated on my birthday parties.

But sincerely speaking, am more of a celebrator of other people's birthday than celebrating myself. No doubt birthday celebration is good to be celebrated because it happens once in a year, and I hope one day I will organise and celebrate my birthday in a big way with special people and less privileged.

I grew up in the home where we hardly celebrate birthday, no birthday cake, gift or organise a little gathering to celebrate anyone. On our birthdays, my mum will only pray for us and then everyone will say happy birthday, thats just it. Sometimes nobody will even wish you happy birthday because nobody remembered that it's your birthday and we have become use it 😂. Not until I grew up, so on my birthday I will go to church, pray and thank God for adding another year to me, then I will post it on my DM, friends and family will then wish me happy birthday and it ends like that, no big celebration till date.

This year April I didn't celebrate my birthday, I didn't post it on any social or tell anyone, I only went to church as usual to thank God. As usual greatest suprise nobody called or sent message to wish me happy birthday, the people that sent message to me was the banks I used. So on my birthday I did something special, I used that day as an opportunity to honor my father in-law and visit the orphanage to pray and share with them the little things I bought for them.

So am more of celebrating others and family in their happy moments and wins, I try as much as possible to post their pictures on my DM, send messages and gift them when necessary, instead of being celebrated. Birthdays is a opportunity we show love and kindness to others, most especially people that don't anyone who celebrate them. Showing kindness to the less privileged, helping the needy and visiting the orphanage homes makes very happy and more satisfied that no birthday party can replace.

If am to celebrate my birthday next year, I will likely choose to do almost the same thing as usual. I will thank God for the gift of life and reflect on his goodness and excess love he has shown me in the past and also I have plans to celebrate it with the orphanage children, help and support the elderly people and support family and friends who are in needy.

Like I said before, no doubt there's nothing wrong in celebrating your birthday and hosting it a big party, beside it's only done once in a year except for special people that where born on 29th of February that only celebrates only years leap years. As for me, am more happy and loved seeing and making people happy and creating a good impact. Rather than celebrating birthday, I prefer using it as an opportunity to put smile and help the needy and helpless, by so doing am making a positive impact and creating purposeful and lasting memories.
