I had this prompt been answered on a snap post today and it got me smiling for a while. There are some habits, acts or traits we see in people who are close to us and we have always determined never to be like them if it is bad or not really something we flow with let alone doing but somehow, we ended up seeing ourselves doing those things or realizing that we actually possess those habits too unconsciously.

In my case, I would say that I am so proud of who I am most like and can always be referenced with and those are my parents. I remember giving an answer to the snap today, saying I inherited the habit of strictness from my mum and playful act from my Dad. You gat to behave well when you're with my mum no matter how lovely she is or may be to you.
Probably because she's an African mother and their records of strictness are always or almost the same so maybe being trained with such hands built me internally to being strict as well which wasn't realizable until I started having kids around me. I'm one of the best at loving and playing with kids but when it's time for scolding, I'm not left out as well to give in full.
At some point, I thought being more of my dad in terms of being playful isn't quite okay until I got deeply rooted into adulthood, experienced what my dad go through as a man, and I got to realize that you don't have to react to bad or unfavourable situation in a bad way as well. Shake it off and think of the next move and this has been helping me a whole lot.

I might not still be living fine now if I was the type who take things to heart so much and get depressed about things that do not go the way I planned.
The part I love most about being a replica of my dad is solving people's civil cases or rifts, couples dispute and the likes, that at times I wonder if I have a perfect life for me to be advising people on what is or not good or what to do or not to do and it mostly works out for them.
My parents are my first role model in my family and everywhere and I'm glad that I took so many things after them which I can't continue to mention here.
Thanks for reading through 🤗
