Dreaming Of Jeju Island: A Traveler's First Impressions

I'm a big lover of travelling but most of my travels have always been stressful, the excitement is only before I start the journey and sometimes until during the journey but at my destination, I'll feel a mix of stress and relief. Because of this, I always imagine to have my dream travel and one of my dream destinations is South Korea, Asia.

A lot of my friends will joke about my visit to korea that I'll fit there more because of my love for kdrama series. Even though I don't act it, I would definitely jump on the opportunity to visit and explore South Korea. I would it give to their movie industry that they've succeeded in making tourists want to explore their part of the world.

I say this because a kdrama series I saw two years back is part of my reason to visit a particular place should I ever travel to South Korea. I saw a funny clip that goes like "It's not a kdrama if you can't find kopiko coffee candy, an ocean scene, instant rainy days and cute umbrellas" and a lot of other stuffs mentioned.

What that clip didn't mention that I've always loved in kdrama is their filming locations. I know a lot of them from just watching their series but my favourite has always been the locations in Jeju island. I think the last series I saw that focused their filming there was "Welcome To Samdal-ri" and I couldn't get enough of the place.

From the sites to how people actually live and are said to be hospitable and happy there, I'm so curious to experience living there even for a short while. I don't know how to swim, I'm scared of water but the number one reason I'll take a bus to Jeju island when I get to South Korea is to go watch the ocean, it's a really beautiful landscape.

I still remember a lot of scenes from the series where families go fishing at the sides of the ocean, making memories and being happy while doing it. The market sides are beautiful too, I imagine myself walking about while buying road side sales from the happy women. It's amazing how ocean is blue, clear and surrounds the place.

There are places like the Ojo Port and the Gujwa Town tree as featured in the drama, that I would really love to see myself if I should visit there. One thing is certain for me, I'm definitely going to fill my eyes with a lot of beautiful sights if I should visit Jeju island and my main reason to visit there is the ocean locations and the feeling.

Just from watching it on TV shows, I feel happy seeing how the place is, I believe I'll have a nice time exploring the cities at Jeju island. Would love to know more about the place but for the few I know, it's a nice place to be from the places to visit and the people you'll meet there. I'll say the impression I have about the place is amazing.
