Kcontest #16 // Friendship beyond the border

Friendship is a language on it own, it doesn't have country, no culture and not even a border so when we choose a friend, country or language or border or culture should not be a barrier since we have a common language which is English.

I will be really excited If I had a Korean friend my age which is what I really wish for, I think we would have endless conversations about our daily lives, our hobbies, our dreams, our cultures and many more. The opportunity to learn about life from a different perspective is one of the most exciting things about having a friend from another country. I was just imagine how it would be like to talk about our school life in our different countries, compare how education systems work in each countries, what students usually do for fun, and how they deal with stress or what they do while preparing for the exams maybe it will be different from what we watched in TV.

You know we all have our favourite artist from our countries and I guess we will also talk about music, movies, and fashion which will be really fun. I would love to hear their thoughts on K-pop, Korean dramas, and how Korean fashion trends are evolving and I will also return the energy. I would introduce them to my favorite songs, movies, and the local trends from my own country. Sharing this kind of pop culture is a fun and meaningful way to connect, especially since many young people around the world already enjoy Korean entertainment.

As a foodie, food would be another exciting topic because they said food connect both body and mind. There is no harm in trying authentic Korean dishes like kimchi, their mouth watering tteokbokki, and bibimbap will not be left out with them and in return, I would also invite them to try my country’s traditional meals and snacks. Cooking together or going out to eat would be a fun way to bond while appreciating each other's cultures.

I would share our national celebrations, the local celebration and explain the meaning and importance behind them and learn more about theirs too. These kinds of conversations help build deeper understanding and respect for one another's backgrounds.

It will be fun talking even about small things like slang, small gestures, or some hilarious school uniforms and some mode of dressing could become interesting topics of conversation. We might even learn each other’s languages which I badly want to. I could teach them common phrases from my language, and they could teach me basic Korean expressions. It would be great to be able to greet their family or send a short message in Korean to show appreciation.

Having a Korean friend would be a chance to enjoy new experiences and also a way to grow as a person. We learn every day and learning that even though we come from different places doesn't matter in friendship because we have so much in common and that friendship goes beyond culture and language.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
